torque motor Customers Reviews

  • Very well made

+ Solid, robust build of gear section+ Smooth run+ Fairly high torque+ Bigger shaft diameter (though, this could be a minus for someone)
Used for fishing rod turning rig, so it has to run for long periods of time (couple of hours or more without pause) when drying rods. After a month of regular, practically daily use, motor still runs without a problem, like the first day i got it.
In pair with more expensive brand DC motors. Highly recommended.
  • VERY powerful

Compact gear motor with lots of torque. I didn't actually expect them to be this powerful: without a lever I couldn't stop the shaft despite all my efforts :)Quite small, have threaded holes in the front (I suppose for installing them). Thread is M3.
There is grease in gearbox. That's good. But don't put the motor together with your favorite picture or on the heap of money for a long time.
Very powerful, very useful thing for RC, household/lab automation, just for driving anything you need to drive...
  • Good quality product, high torque, low noise

Runs good. High torque. Low current - measured ~30 to 40mA at 13VDC. Running smooth. Not particularly noisy. Reversed the polarity and motor went other direction. Made experiment on 4V LiIon battery. Motor running much slower. Much less noise. Still very high torque! 18 to 22mA at 4VDC.
Current varies beteen 27mA and 31mA per revolution at 13V DC.
Overall, good motor with gearbox, high torque, low RPM for a good price.
  • Great quality

This product beat all my expectations with torque enough and power consumption for my device. When it is supplied with 12-12.4 Vdc a person cannot stop to turn the engine from the output tube.
Not easy to assemble in a surface because the holes to screw the engine to a surface are close to the engine (specially the left bottom) but with the other 3 holes are enough.
Since I have it (two months ago) it works ok an the gear wheels look ok after several hours working under punctual high torques.
  • Geared motor, 80 RPM

nice small, very strong gear and relatively silent dc motor. Ideal for use in some 'bigger sized' scale models.
I hope DX will offer bigger and smaller dc motors with a gearbox like this and more choice in rpm output. I'm still searching for a twice as big model with 400 rpm output, but this one works nice as a winch motor on my scale model, even at 7.2 Volts.
No bottomline, works as designed. I'm happy with it. As written down earlier, I hope DX will offer more and different sized dc motors with a gearbox like this one and if possible with more choice in rpm output. (and maybe more Scale model items for scale modellers like me, but that's another thought i'm having)
