  • Reverse mirror and black wire

Good and bright picture quality, simple to navigate menu. Use the remote controller for the menu functions in stead of the buttons. You can mirror (reverse) the image but also put the picture upside down in case the camera is mounted upside down. This can be done via the 6th menu line 'DOWN RD' and use the arrow buttons on the remote control.to secect between RD, LU, RU, LD. Very useful. Looking the picture of input AV1 you can switch to input AV2 by connecting the blue wire tot +12 volts. Release this connection to switch back to AV1.

Nice monitor for a good price! Mirror is done via the menu and not by the blue wire.

Easy to use, relatively cheap. Small camera, unnoticable. Two video canals.
Can be used as a safety camera for home use.
Overall a good buy if needed for a car. If bought for home use, the parking lines are getting in the way of sometimes seeing details. The resolution is good enough for everyday use, the screen big enough.
  • Nice mirror

Excellent mirror, almost the same size as my car (suzuki grand vitara) and fit perfectly over the original mirror. Screen with good size and easy viewing. Very good stuff, seems pretty sturdy. Fast and easy installation.
I had no problems viewing the screen from the mirror, even on sunny days. But my car has film in glasses.
Seriously considering buying another to install in another car. I liked it very much and left me quite satisfied. Great Deal.
  • Does its job with some caveats

It shows the picture! Actually has a pretty good viewing angle. Easy to set up except the AV cable (see cons).
I haven't tested the USB/SD/TV/FM features, since I'm only going to use this for AV. Of course, the screen is glossy. Will have to make sun/glare protection for outdoor use.
Totally decent! I have only tested it for a short time so shouldn't recommend nor the opposite, but now that I solved the RCA connector mystory I do believe it is a good buy.
  • Great value car or security monitor

Large, bright, high-resolution screen allows you to view the image in finer detail. The screen comes with a transparent protection film on top, which you should remove after installation and before the first use.Can be attached onto the dashboard with the strong 3M self-adhesive pad.The detachable plastic hood protects against direct sunlight on the screen, although the display is bright enough.Has 2 video inputs for 2 different sources, with priority for one of them (if both are active).Image can be switched between "stretch" to fill in the whole screen and "4:3" for standard TV ratio.Display turns off automatically when there is no video feed.
The "manual" is a very poor installation sketch. To use in a car, this is a suggested installation:- Connect the display power to an "always-on" wire from the battery, bypassing the ignition switch. This way, it will retain its settings. Usually this is an orange wire, not red, at the car's stereo. Most of the time, the cigarette lighter also has a permanent power.- Mount the display in a shaded area, try to avoid direct sunlight. You could attach it to the windshield next to the rearview mirror, and find a way to route the cables around.- Connect the rear bumper's camera to Video 1 (yellow), and power that camera from the backing up light so that it turns on only when you are reversing. If the video cable from the camera to the display is longer than 5 meters, consider purchasing a pair of video "baluns" used for CCTV cameras so that you can use a longer pair of twisted wires.- Connect any other video source (DVD player) to Video 2 (white) for you
Very good value for a large, high-resolution color screen for car entertainment/rear view camera, or for CCTV/video surveillance. Mine will be connected to a network-enabled Digital Video Recorder monitoring the front door's bullet camera mounted in the peephole. I can see who's at the front door even from the kitchen or livingroom, or from anywhere else in the world via the Internet! :-)
