temperature sensor module Customers Reviews

  • Nice for tests and probes. Well built and cheap.

The product is really well built, doesn't look like a 3 dollar product. Might be very nice for a home project with your arduino board. The quality is really nice, for the price I couldn't imagine such a nice product. If you need it, buy it.
Might be nice to use, but till now it's unuseful.
If you know how to use and for what you should use, purchase it, otherwise, you can purchase it too, it's too cheap!
  • Fair accuracy, good sensor

There are tons of documentation about the sensor, it's possible to feed it from 3.3v, only one communication pin used, low power consumption.
It's the best choice if you don't need high precission, the resolution is 1 degree. You won't get the tenths of temperature but the value is correct.
Good sensor and cheap, i recommend it. I used MSP430 to communicate with it, which is feed from 3.3V, and no problem at all with that.
  • Handy gadget for the experimenter

    posted by HenryJ

Inexpensive.Handy for the experimenter as it plugs into a breadboard easily (not that a three pin device isn't easy to plug into a breadboard but having the device mounted to the pcb helps protect it and make it less vulnerable to handling damage.
    Good for any arduino experimenter.
A good price for an experimenters gadget.
  • easy and fast to setup and use

The biggest "pro" for this product that it has a onboard pul-up resistor. If you connect it to a Arduino or a Raspberry Pi there is no nead to use a seperate resistor between Vcc and signal. You can directly plug it to the board. There are alot of exampel codes writen on how to use this produkt and finnished programs you can call from your script/program.
It would be even a better produkt if it hade some kinde of back cower for the circuiteboard. I will solder a cable direktly to the circuitboard and fasten it to a wall.
Great product, a bit pricey. I needed a censor that could mesure bout negative and positive temperature. If you whant to log room temperature the DHT11 is cheaper.
  • Dallas DS18B20 sensor on a breadboard

    posted by Hendrik24051972

This is a board with the Dallas DS18B20 temperature sensor on it, together with a pull-down resistor, and an LED.You get an "all-in-one" board, and there's no need to add more components. Everything you need to get it working is available on the print.
I tape this kind of sensor to the heating pipes, and get very accurate temperature readings.
Make your life easier, and get this print instead of the separate DS18B20 sensors.
