  • Good antenna

    posted by Screwdriver78

The antenna operates in the stated ranges. When the antenna is deployed, the VSWR at the frequency of 144 MHz in the range 1.8 - 2.2, at a frequency of 430 MHz - 2.5-2.8 (measured at the professional equipment). Details of the antenna are made qualitatively, nothing stuck and not loose. The connector is perfectly fit with the radio (Master UV-200).
    No Other Thoughts
Buy it, use it, but carefully.

small, easy to carry, can be use in anywhere
this is one of the 'must have' item for your 4G modem. im using this antenna for my 4G router (E5172). at first, i have a skepticism that this wont work, and when i plugged it on my router, the signal still 3 to 4 bars, which mean this antenna doesnt help that much. But after trying to run the speedtest.net, the speed has been raised at least 200-300% !!
in bottom line, this antenna is worth every penny for your modem, especially if you lived in the area with poor signal
  • N-Cable Male to F-Cable Male Adapter Plug

    The price definitely.
This is a handy connector to have as spares.
Also many GSM style devices in Europe use the smaller SMA type connector, but general cable tend to have N-Cable connectors.
I would like to see DealExtreme stock more N-Cable and SMA type connectors and make them more easily searchable. This product for instance clearly has the name " N-Cable" in the title. Still if you search for N-Cable you won't find it!?!
Good product for a decent price.
  • Just what I needed

These are just what is found inside a router with an extarnal antenna. You can use this to connect external antenna's instead of the antennas that are inside your router. Or even make an external connection on a laptop. Most Wifi cards use the tiny IPx/IPEX connector. And the bigger RP-SMA connector is standard for Wifi.
If you want a longer cable, use a thicker cable. Thin cables like this one have a high loss, so it is good they are short. Each one is packed in an anti static bag. Nice, but not needed. Does look professional if you want to resell it.
Buy it if you need it.
