  • Useful PIR sensor, with adjustable pot

    posted by ed2096

Has an adjustable pot unlike many other products, able to adjust off delay time. Very useful.Otherwise simple and easy to wire up.
Would be nice to see it sold with different PIR sensor options
Get it for the adjustable pot
  • Does what is promised and more

-Build quality seems good-Accurate wire-description printed on case-Led indication when sensing-Can be used with Arduino directly-Cheap
Tested against a pair of scissorsDistance of sensing is about 5mm. Seems to work ok down to as low as 2,5 V. Some measurements I've done:Input 3,3VOutput ~3,3 VNon sensing current: 0,6 mASensing current: 1,2 mAInput 5VOutput ~5VNon sensing current 0,9 mASensing current 2,1 mAInput 10 VOutput ~10VNon sensing current 1,8 mASensing current 4,6 mAInput 24VOutput ~24VNon sensing current 4,3 mASensing current ~12 mAAlso tested sensing on a metal tube of glue, and sensing distance is then about 2mm because of the thin metal.
If you need a cheap prox for arduino, this will do the trick.
  • Simply works

Is what it says on the description. Very, very cheap for what it's worth, and includes a voltage regulator, so it works with 3.3V or 5V.
BEWARE: It comes without any documentation whatsoever, so you'd better know what to do with it when it arrives. Google "adafruit bmp085", if you are interested, they have many great, simple to follow tutorials.
Cheap, simple, effective. If you are into electronics DIY and own something like an Arduino or a Raspberry Pi, like me, its a must-buy.
  • Soundproof little circuitboard

Cheap, great quality, easy to apply to arduino builds, small, usefull in small compartments and overall a great piece of tech for DIY involving sound
This sound sensor I had for intentions of connecting to my laserballproject to match incoming music to the pattern in which the lasers would blink it worked perfectly.
Great piece of tech for those in need of a sound sensor for their DIY and worked very favourably for my project.
  • Cool effect and nice and long - over 8 feet of flexible green light!

    posted by jernst67

Good price for the light outputI ran this at 3 V, 5 V and 12 V. Obviously at the lower voltages the light is not as bright but it's really neat. It's nice and long - at over 8 feet long, there's a lot of material to work with.
I like it and am happy with it overall.
I think this was a good buy and have purchased several others in different colors. I like the wide voltage range I can work with and it will look cool when my project is completed.
