  • Good screen for arduino

    posted by RetroHetro

Good screen, with high resolution and vivid colours.Libraries to drive the screen are available at http://henningkarlsen.com (Look for the UTFT and Utouch libraries)You will also need a shield such as SKU: 144471 to easily connect to your arduino up.
You really need a higher memory capacity arduino such as the mega especially if you want to do more complex things, or you will run out of memory.
For a good res screen, this is a good option.
  • Really very good quality of PCB.

The same parameters as original part... Really very good quality of PCB. Connectors are the same as on the original part.
The display of my laptop works bad (right half of them is dark). I need find reason why, because other part of laptop ale still on good condition. I had three ideas: bad LCD, bad inventor or bad lamp. But price of new LCD or lamp are very high. So I make test with new invertor and now I know, that bad part is lamp inside LCD.
Nothing more to say... :-) If you need it, buy it... ;-)

    Affordable. Small foot print. Can be configured to work with arduino.I2C address = 0x27Use new LCD library at.https://bitbucket.org/fmalpartida/new-liquidcrystal/wiki/HomeUse:#define I2C_ADDR 0x27#define BACKLIGHT_PIN 3#define En_pin 2#define Rw_pin 1#define Rs_pin 0#define D4_pin 4#define D5_pin 5#define D6_pin 6#define D7_pin 7LiquidCrystal_I2C lcd(I2C_ADDR,En_pin,Rw_pin,Rs_pin,D4_pin,D5_pin,D6_pin,D7_pin,BACKLIGHT_PIN,POSITIVE);Mine works fine this way. I will order more!
Once you get it working, this is a fine, value, brick.
If you get one working, then, buy more. Well worth it. I will
  • Nice little extra screen

    posted by mariae71

Small, versatile, handles many input signals. Specified voltage is 12V, but I have successfully run it on 4.5V. Screen can be rotated in any orientation via the OSD. Handles 4:3 and 16:9, both manually and Auto. Screen seems very strong too.
You have to build an enclosure, I'm not good at building so I butchered a project box and stuffed it inside it. Controller seems to get a bit hot, it might be my fault for running it on 4.5V, maybe it draws more current to boost the voltage internally then? I'm not sure how that works. Thinking about mounting a little heatsink to it though, just to be safe.
Sweet little device that can't disappoint you if you know what to expect and read the description.
  • Good quality, easy to use

    posted by kcouckuyt

Very impressive image quality, good readability, easy to connect to arduino using the LCD mega shield you can by here also. Use the UTFT library and just change the screen type to 'TFT01_32', and it will work! The touchscreen also works very well, you don't have to push it very hard, a light touch is sufficient.
If you're looking for a larger screen for your diy projects, this is the one to get! You do have to use an arduino Mega to be able to use the screen, the touchscreen and SD-card reader at the same time
    Very good buy
