  • Excellent product just perfect

I have many hard drives and CD-ROM that I had to test or backup manually and it always took a long time. Today I no longer have to worry about, these tasks will now be implemented without delay.I tested all kinds of HD and some CD-ROM has been completely satisfactory, it was recognized only by plugging without requiring the installation CD in no time I was done, I really could not be happier.
Speed is not the strong point but also is not really a problem, do not advise the use as external HD, it was not made for this purpose although everyone uses, should not fall in any way, I made a case for the adapter and I believe it is mandatory to use one, any fall can damage the product.
By the size so small, efficiency, versatility and low price is not impossible to buy, is really a dream for any computer technicians, technicians did not know some friends that this product existed. Thanks DX

The packaging is quite good. It came with a mini-CD with drivers. Easy to use and understand how it works. It was tested with Notebook HDD Sata and IDE.It works like a chamr when your computer crashes and you need to do a Backup of the drive.
It is a good purchase for the right price. It tooks 23 days to arrive into Argentina.
Nice tool for computer technicians, that need to perform backups from customers PC and notebooks. It works with SATA2, IDE 3.5", IDE (NB).For PC disk (3.5") the power needs to be used, for the NB disk, only with USB can work
  • No S-ata power cables

Cheaper than at any retailerFunctions just as goodMakes any harddisk externalDoes the same for any DVD/CD/BR drive.Supports S-ata as well as good old IDE for 2.5" and 3.5" harddisks
None. Device does what it has to do.
Good buy for the money. Too bad the S-ata power cables arent attached.
  • Tiny little gadget with a huge power supply

    - It works (even in Linux, and even with EXT2/3/4 formatted hard drives)
    - It's tiny
    - It's neat
    - It's useful
It's a tiny little gadget that's very useful to test internal hard drives without opening the case and mounting them.
I actually bought it to use some spare internal HDs as USB drives, and it does its job.
The only disadvantage is the huge power supply unit provided. I'm actually thinking of pulling one 4-pin cable from the PC's PSU to the outside, via the unused floppy drive bay, and use that to power the drives up.
Pretty useful and working as described.
I would have liked an on-off switch on the power supply, so that one could swap drives without having to remove the plug, though.
Anyway, it works as it should, and it's price is ok (much lower than cradles, which only work with SATA drives, BTW)

It does what it supposes to do. The reason I bought it is to check up my extra netbook ASA HD I had some problems with so I needed to format and check the functionality. The adapter works like a pendrive with 2 USB connectors as one works as the AC connector and the other one to transfer the data.
It is a very useful tool and does what it supposes to do. Here in my country (Argentina) same product costs no less than 40 dollars so from that point of view it is a very good buying.
If you need to backup information from an ASA HD this is the tool you need to read the information like a pendrive; otherwise you will expend too much on a technician.
