just what i need.to backup my hard disk without using a pc.ridiculously easy to use, even a small children can use it.sata a=source hard disk, sata b/c=hard disk that u want to clone.switch on power and double click the center button.the light will start to blink which means the process already started, light stop blinking means its done.tested on a 2tb 3.5 hard disk, leave it overnight, woke up next morning all done.sata b becomes exact copy of sata a.really really worth the price

  • Good results so far

I have only used it to connect to one hard drive to my PC and it seemed to work very well. I used a Western Digital 2GB 3.5" SATA II Drive (WD20EARS).*easy to use, plug and play*fairly small form factor*decent build quality*Good speeds (70MB/s consistent write on USB 3 on my Asus P6T and Asus USB 3 PCI-E controller [transferring from my internal drive. only test performed yet])
Both SATA connections on the device do work, though I haven't used two drives at the same time though it yet (will use forum feature below if I do and share results).I threw the software out straight away and haven't used the OTB or anything.
I am very please with this. Good buy. Would recommend (in fact I did and my friend is also pleased)
  • Fulfills what it promises

-Works great, I'm using it with SATA Samsung hd322gj, which is 320gb (although the software out there [like HDloader] won't use more than 120 (I just started trying OPL, I don't know its limit). Some games freeze, not only the games that are known to have problems with hdd use, but games that are supposed to be fine. But I still don't know if it's the adaptor's fault, I don't think so, I think it's a problem with my PAL ps2.
-It has two hinges so that you can use a 2.5" hdd and it won't be loose.
-the build quality is ok, the screws are good, but I don't trust the jacks, I'm being very carefully extracting it to add games
-Aesthetically, it looks great hooked up to the fat ps2. It looks original.
I'm using it with a modded (aka "spoiled") memory card so it boots from it (using Free Mc Boot) and then loading elf software (like HDLoader) from a usb drive (if you're using Kingston, make sure it's a 2g and above, 1g didn't work). I found all the instructions on youtube. Just search "Create PlayStation 2 Bootable Memory Card" and "Install Hard Drive (HDD) In Playstation 2 (PS2) And Format", those are pretty clear (but in English).
I absolutely recommend it. I live in Argentina, so ps2 network adapters are very hard to come by, and if you find one it's original and extremely expensive. This was shipped door to door no charge whatsoever and it got here in great conditions.
  • Great to get your backup from old IDE drive

    posted by meunomediogo

I liked the product very much.
It does what it claims to do.
Can connect to a wide variety of Hard Drives.
    - Laptop IDE
    - Sata and;
    - IDE
I bought this one in order to recover my backup from old IDE drives I had lying around.
This product really worked for me. I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Next time I would consider getting a slot adapter instead of this one just to make the Hard drive into a permanently attached external storage device.
It is a good product, If you work with data recovery this is a good product for easyness of use.
