-Adjustable to at least three depths-Soft rubber cup folds down for wider zooms-simple protection for your front element without resorting to expensive filters-bayonet mount is threaded aluminium, not plastic as specified
An extremely versatile, clever design that works well with zoom lenses as it can be adjusted to different depths.
Buy a few of them and protect all your lenses! They're so cheap and work much better as protection than UV filters which can reduce image quality.
  • Useful lens hood for zooming

The price is always the best pro at Deal Extreme. The quality is good. The inner ring is made of metal, the rest is made of foldable rubber.
I use this Lens Hood for my Canon EF-S 10-22mm F/3.5 - 4.5 USM. A rubber lens hood looks unprofessional, but I think the quality of the pictures is more important than how the camera looks. I will upload another photo, so you can see how the lens hood looks on your lens.
Not very usefull for wide angle photos, the main reason I bought this lens for. But when you zoom, it's better. I also use this lens hood to protect my lens against accidental bumps. Normally I use the UV-filter for that.
  • Cheap but practical rubber hood

    It’s cheap, it’s rubber, it’s foldable.
This is a cheap but effective way to add a hood to lenses with 49mm filter thread. Hoods can block stray light and enhance contrast. I bought it for my Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 which loses contrast wide open and I expect this will help. On a film SLR and with the same 50mm lens, the hood is just out of view so I am confident this can be used on ‘full frame’ camera’s to, provided the lens is not wider than 50mm.
    Cheap, practical and effective.: recommended.

well-made, good quality material, easy to use, can go over hight barrier (about 8 cm), brings joy to children and adults :)
angle of view is not as wide as wished to be, not DIY, wished it be not ready to go, but it was totally assembled (may be that a plus for some one else, but not us)
