Nice and heavy, better than aluminum adapter. It's easy to use, mark is correct (red dot). It has nice ring all the long outer border so it keeps adapter solid. It fit's nice and it's easy to take it off...
I haven't tried it with large number of lenses, so I can't really tell is it compatible with all M42 lenses.
It's nice thing to have. Especially if you have a bunch of old M42 lenses, and you like their smooth manual focus, and manual aperture settings.I would recommend it to a friend.

    - cheap compared to original ring flash- well built- very good flash intensity- professional look- it does what it has to- nice pouch
    but overall, I like it.
it's more complicated that original one thanks to TTL measuring absence, but it's more than 5x less price.
  • Good for catch lights

Cheap Batteries last a long timeGood power for LEDs A breeze to pop on and offGood build quality
I take lots of bug macros and I Bought this thinking I would be able to light up macro subjects, but LEDs are no where near the power of flash. It does work great for giving a little extra light in an unusual fashion. If you want to use this hand held on a camera as a key light, you better get ready to crank that iso button up.
It creates some cool lighting and is nice and cheap. Worth the money, but not going to freeze subjects like a flash.

In resume is good....Good construction and works great....It has a good build, seems to be durable. After awhile you conseguirar easily fit the extension...Very good price. This one in Brazil is much more expensive...
In a very basic way, departs the sensor lens of the machine, allowing us to focus closer to the subject. With this approach, the expansion is greater, but also lose light...If you have other lenses, it is a great buy...
If you have lenses compatible and want photos macro, it is a good buy...

Suits my need for close-up small product photography at a fraction of the price of the big name product. I use a Nikon DSLR and have been getting great results with this. It produces an amazingly high light source which means stopping down quite a bit more than before but this has the advantage of slightly increased depth of field which is not a problem but one should be aware of this when planning the shoot. Using standard AA batteries is a bonus.
DX should get their act together and ensure that properly detailed instruction manuals are supplied with their products.
Definitely worth the money and opens the gateway for some fine macro photography.
