Very light weight. Autofocus works very well, better than I expected! Has nothing useless in it.
Work just like it should. An exellent money saver. Good quality.
You're gonna save huge amount of money by buying this and be happy with it. If random errors won't bother you, buy it! And maybe second one too!
  • Great macro flash

Suits my need for close-up small product photography at a fraction of the price of the big name product. I use a Nikon DSLR and have been getting great results with this. It produces an amazingly high light source which means stopping down quite a bit more than before but this has the advantage of slightly increased depth of field which is not a problem but one should be aware of this when planning the shoot. Using standard AA batteries is a bonus.
DX should get their act together and ensure that properly detailed instruction manuals are supplied with their products.
Definitely worth the money and opens the gateway for some fine macro photography.
  • It's cheap and works great

    1) 3 different segments to fit your needs.
    2) Fits great in my Nikon D90 (previously removing the little screw. See purkinje17 post: http://www.dealextreme.com/forums/Forums.dx/Page.2~Forum.12458~threadid.632628
    3) It's cheap
    4) Built in metal
    5) Take a look at the photos I've taken with the tubes and published in DX
It's safe to mount it in your camera but only after taking the screw off from the mounting segment.
Works great with the cheap Nikkor 50mm 1.8F D lens. You've to use it analogically, I mean even the aperture have to be set from the lens with the aperture ring.
In order to set a decent deep of field, you've to close aperture at least up to 8F meaning you need more light to get to the subject.
See the photos I took and I posted here of the pictures I took using the three segments.
Great deal if you want to take macro photos and you don't want to buy expensive gears.
It's not easy but it's challenging.
  • Cool effect!

    - Gives a cool "angel eye" effect in portraits- Easy to mount on camera with the mountingrings- Good batterylife
If your gonna use this, make sure the room is bright just to make the model's/person's eyes adjust to the brightness of the ring.
Not a bad deal, i would like it to have a dimming function but thats all about price.I am happy with it considering how much i use it (witch is not much, but its a cool thing to have)
  • quite a revelation

I was quite delighted to find this product and to try to use my old lenses ( mimoya 135mm, helios 45m ) with my nikon d5100. quality is good, it fits well on lens and it is easily mounted on camera
I think it should a beat cheaper cause you need one adapter for every lens you have.
Product worth buying though it should cheaper
