  • Decent cheap headlamp

    posted by lifekidyeaa

This headlamp produces a good amount of light. It has three settings - high, low, and flash. It does not get hot on high. Battery life is about 2 hours+ on high, maybe 4-5 hours on low. (Low is sufficient for most tasks). It claims IP-something waterproof, but I don't trust it - -the battery cover is not very tight, and will leak if it's raining. That said, they have a nifty red light on the rear battery pack which engages with the front light; this is perfect for biking.
    Straps are not uncomfortable.
Works fine -- hey, you get what you pay for!
  • almost ideal pocket flashlight

    posted by vetal334

    1) Very compact size;2) Cheap as well;3) Nice smooth throw;4) LED driver build quality looks like expensive model.
    LED driver has 5 modes. Drawn current in these modes are (fully charged/normal charged Li-Ion):Hi = 0.89-0.95 / 0.64-0.7 Amps;Med = 0.45/0.32 A;Lo = 0.09/0.06 A;Strobe = 0.45/0.33 Amps RMS;SOS = unknown (my multimeter can't measure aperiodic signals).
From all pocket flashlights i have this one is the best. I will upgrade it with Cree XP-G R5 LED emitter. In this case i expect double luminous output in comparison with Cree Q5 bin in max. current (1 amp).
  • good torch

    posted by jlee45

-bight torch-cool lantern feature, actually very useful in tent situation-decent ergonomics-nice material and finish-okay weight-takes standard AA battery
-overall this was an excellent purchase-would definitely buy again if lost or just as an extra-would have been better if push power button was in glow-in-the-dark material
nice looking torch that performs well and looks good
  • the average performance

    posted by Martin643

Solid metal housing. Headband is a useful thing. In the description is not specified, but it is zooming!
The flashlight is a bit expensive, maybe because of headband. The flashlight does not offer what they write. Only with the 14500 batteries in high mode.
The flashlight is that what I expected, but life time is short.
  • Good Flexible Light.

    posted by herulach

Bright light, with option of running a wide range of batteries (R/CR123, 1/2 AA, and mine works on 14500s with minor mods (sandpaper))Good threads, and well lubricated, although only single o-rings, not too sure it would stand a serious dunking, although a running tap appears to be ok.
If you need a good, cheap 1/2AA light, then you really can't go wrong with this. although beware it is brighter on 2aa/lithium batteries than 1AA.
