  • It gets the job done

Plug it in and it works.Tons of included software.
Pairing password is 1234 just like a bluetooth headset.Didn't think it had lights, but power LED shines through the plastic.
Once I got it to hold the paring it worked as intended. When I re-loaded the software a day later it connected to the Scanner without a problem. Great price.
  • have not wroked on my astra

    - It's cheap and work on nonstandard (with standard I meant OBD-2) protocols adopted by GM/Opel.
    - Comes with software.
    - Often you'll have to pay more just to let someone use a similar device on your car ONCE.
It might work on other cars, in fact it is able to read a little bit of information about my car (like identification number), so it works, but don't buy it if you have an brazilian Astra-G model.
  • Very happy with it, arrived in 3 weeks to Canada

Great price (compared to getting it at Canadian Tire or Princess Auto). Never even looked at the instruction manual. Bought it for my sister's 2006 GMC Jimmy b/c her Check Engline Light kept coming on and she kept paying $75 to mechanic each time to check it out. Plugged right in, allowed to reset all alerts and PRESTO, no Check Engine Light has come on since. If it did, then I would send it in for repairs if alert came back. Works perfectly for my 2001 Cheverolet Malibu and my Dad's 2010 Montana.
    Saves you $$$
Excellent investment if you want to know why your Check Engine Light is on

I love this ELM327 OBD2 Bluetooth V1.5 Car Diagnostic Scanner Tool - White ^_^ easy to use i still don't know if this really work because it detect no error on my Honda CRV i need to wait for my car become faulty before i can really sure it is working. but i can say this device looks working no error because my car is in good condition. and the dashboard all working and accurate using torque pro i downloaded on google playstore. the build quality is good and its more look better in real than the sample picture here.
This fit on my car obdII socket and easy to pair on bluetooth and fast error reading ^_^
To use this 1st you need to know if your car is OBDII supported then 2nd install Torque Pro i downloaded on google play if your cd has installer and not empty install them and use it ^_^ I will explain using Torque Pro after install finish go to your car and insert your new OBDII to your car OBDII socket after that you will see no light means off if open turn it off to save var battery then turn on your car engine using your car key then open your Android Bluetooth then push the power button of the OBDII to make it on and the light turn on and check your phone under bluetooth setting you will see device name OBDII then click it then pair it using 1234 now it say your device is paired but not connected don't panic go to Torque Pro and its now connected and check OBDII status on Torque Pro if all ok and you can also record video while using the dasboard feature serach it on google there a lot of plugin you can download and compatible on Torque Pro ^_^ fault error take less 1min.
  • cheapest OBD2 I could find

    posted by tbone

This was the cheapest OBD2 I could find that looked like it might have some nice features. Easy to clear CEL codes by erasing them.
It will read the code and tell you a generic description if possible. To find what this means for your vehicle specifically, you need to google the code it produces. Sometimes it will detect a code and only show N/A
I bought it when it was $35, now its $22, so you can't find anything cheaper at a car shop or hardware store here in North America
