  • Great price and works better than macro filters!

This is a great reversal ring to take macro shots. I had some filter you had to install in front of your lens but they had a lot of distortion on the edges, while this works just great. It fits perfectly on my camera and it is a million times cheaper than buying a macro lens, scpecially if you only want to take some macro shots now and then.
    works as described.
Excellent price and usefulness. You wont be dissapointed and its great to give macro photography a try before buying an expensive macro lens.
  • Fitting Problems on D80

Seams to be of good build quality, its cheap and Useful.
I took a rasp and a angle grinder and removed the metal (about 1mm) around the second ring. Now it fits perfectly. (With a angle grinder about 10minutes of work)
With a little bit of work you get a perfect fit, cheap Reversal Filter Adapter Ring.
  • Cheap way of doing macro

    posted by ESassin

If you want to get into macro photography, then this is a cheap and effective way of doing it. But you need a lens with on-lens aperture control.
    Did I mentione cheap?
It's just a piece of metal, nothing special. Threads are ok. It fits on nikon-mount lenses and on a nikon body (D2x for me). Also, you will be able to use any other lens with that thread size, not necessarily a nikon mount - as you're not attaching the lens mount side.
It does what is says it does, nothing more and nothing less.
  • Works as it should

works as it should. simple, does not put too much pressure on the camera mount or on the lens, even if you use filters. does its job.
simplest and cheapest way to do macro. not only allows you to do macro with your normal lens, means you won't have to carry an extra macro lens with you. cool.
cheap, simple, works perfect. recommended. i use it on both my 35mm 1.8 and my old manual focus 50mm 1.8. works great on both, but specially on the old 50mm 1.8 as manual focus ring works best and it has an aperture dial.
