  • Small, cheap and good quallity

Great price. Small as i expected. Good quallity at this price.
If you make an analogy between L298 and L9110, L9110 can see that the does not have enable/disable pin.In other words is simply connected to the Arduino, in my case.External power supply must be used to avoid power problems.
Connect with an Arduino Mega (bought from DX) works very fine with 2 micromotors.
  • Excellent basic brushless ESC

    posted by desolder

This is an unbeatable price for a good brushless ESC. It gets a little warm at the full 20A rating, so you may want to limit this to 15A to minimize waste heat and lost efficiency.
Supposedly you can program it with SKU 5428, but I haven't yet had the need. The default cutoff and brake settings work fine for my application.
I opened it up and found out that there's room for extra FETs to boost current capacity. I replaced the fried FET, then added the additional 6 FETS to upgrade it to the 30A version. The additional weight from 6 SO-8 FETs is practically negligible, so you may want to just get the 30A version for an extra $1 (sku 11981)
Get the 30A version since the weight increase is negligible.
  • Good Quadcopter!

    - Nice and Cheap Quadcopter Frame (X525 compatible)- Comes with basicly everything do you need except for the battery and controller- Comes with extra screws if you lose few when building.- You can build X4 and +4 models of quadcopter- The motors and propellers are matched.
Works fine, the motors and propellers are matched, so it flyes fine. Dont forget to balance the propellers, this makes a lot of difference.
Dealextreme should make a complete kit with a 3 cell battery and controller. But that is fine, you can just buy the one they suggest.
  • It controls the speed of a motor

    posted by darkzhades

It is fairly easy to set up if you know what you're doing. The wiring diagram is in Chinese but English versions are on the net. The controller apparently works with wattages from 5 to 140 watts and has a maximum current rating of 5 amps. I ended up using a 5k pot to get finer speed control. It is very easy to wire up as the actual module is removable from the base. It is rack mountable.
I used it on a bread maker turned coffee roaster and it is of limited use as the load varies over time, so the rpm varies as well.
It works and seems well made.
  • Seems pretty good

    posted by Techish

O.K: it works! I got this to use as a brushless controller for a diy project: i wanted OVERKILL (probably 25A was going to do the job) and as this was cheap, and possibly close to 50A I got it. The BEC being separate to the main board was also appealing as I might be able to remove it and use it for something else.
I am using this with the cheapy red 3Kv outrunner (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12828)
Nice. I am using this with a servo tester to drive it, and it holds it`s settings after setting the throttle range at first. So far so good, but I am sorry I have no data as far as amps go: maybe 10amps max so far and it is stone cold.
seems to be good for what I got it for.
