  • Great for running OpenWRT

A very small form factor wireless AP, but the great thing is that you can install OpenWRT on this.
It has a 400MHZ cpu, 32mb ram but only 4MB flash.
USB is great for external storage and other appliances like smart house (will test with z-wave)
Will work further on this to see how god it performs with OpenWRT
Flexible adapter with OpenWRT installed! I have not tested it out for the original purpose as a stand-alone wireless access point.

Wireless networks have been around for some quite time, but you can still get yourself at a place without one and with only old (and reliable) wired internet, and this is why you need to have one of these with you whenever you are on the road, cause it small, portable, and easy to set up if you have basic knowledge about wireless. It can work in three modes, and sooner or later you’re going to need it, it can act as a WiFi client to connect to an AP, WiFi repeater to amplify the signal of an existing AP, or a WiFi AP to provide wireless out of a wired network. It may not be intended for some serious data transfer, but it will serve its purpose for browsing internet and such.
It lives up to its specifications and transfer data at 150 mbps. If it was able to do 300 it would probably be more expensive.
Pocket portable wi-fi router you should have.

It’s very compact and has a nice quality feel to it. Starts up in no time and switching between different modes are fast. I never switch though; I use it as an access point only. It’s very important that it’s used with a proper power supply. My HTC phone charger or Nexus pad charger doesn’t do the trick and it becomes very unstable. I haven’t measured how much it needs, but it’s more than 500 mA. Giving it to little power results in lost Wi-Fi connection.
The mini USB connection sits a little deep in the chassis, so if your cable is “fat” at the end around the plug you might have some trouble getting the plug all the way in. It doesn’t need to go all the way in, but if you leave it hanging alongside the wall under the socket outlet, for instance, the USB connector will slip out unless it’s plugged all the way in.
Excellent device. I have recommended it to my colleagues and their all happy with it. Go ahead, buy one.

Everything included but the kitchen sink!Great as a simple Hotspot or home-projects.I myself, am going to use this as a OpenWRT wireless router for mesh-networks.
Fully supported by OpenWRT!http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr11uA bit hard to disassemble the device case.It comes with micro-usb cable to normal usb and a power supply to charge. Micro-usb cable also works as a Data Cable.
    Excellent quality/price ratio!

Amazingly small device. works extremely well like all TP-Link devices. The price is amazing. Includes a 5v 550ma USB power supply (with american pins) which can be for other devices if you power the TP-Link device from you PC
Used as a repeater on my WiFi network to reach a 'dead spot' in my house which has thick walls.
At the price an amazing bit of kit, don'y throw it in the bin because you are frustrated with the Chinese instruction. Look at the TP-Link site.TP-Link tech support is really very good.Would recommend
