  • Works

    - no problems with the connectors- the whole product is just fine- could chain at least 5 of these and have a hard drive working
I needed a long male to female cable and so I had to buy 6 of these. That got expensive. But the hard drive works, to my surprise. Note that Firewire cable lengths are very limited. There will be connection (and stability) problems after certain amount of meters, especially if certain kind of (electro)magnetic fields are around.
    Works for me.

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAPAt least now I do not have to go messing around in the cramped casing. I just leave this out to a open space and when I need it, it within easy reach
This is very useful when you are DIY guy and you want to connect a 3.5" harddisk. Now where to get a enclosure.. well why not plug into the spare sata port for transferring of data? So much faster then going through USB and a hell lot cheaper.
This is a must have for all PC DIY guy.
  • Great for temporarily lengthening or using a 2.5 enclosur

After buying a USB3 2.5 enclosure here on DX, I was wondering if I could use it to connect a 3.5" disk using an external power supply. A little gamble later I can confirm it works without a problem.
I had to snip of the two side bars from the female side to have it fit into a 2.5" USB3 enclosure. This is of course no issue if you are using a standard SATA cable to extend. Taking of the sides was effortless and left the cable in a perfectly working condition.

+ Its an atx 24 pin extension cable
    + Its about 30 cm (12") long
+ It extends the 24v cable quite nicely in my casemodded case, so I could fit the cables away from sight.
theres a 20 pin version also availible, for older psu/motherboard styles.
get this cable if you need to have a little bit more length on the atx power cable to hide it neatly out of sight, or if you have a really tall case.
  • Fine XLR plugs

Looks good. All parts fits well. Sufficient strain relief on usual mic cable. Favorable price quality balance. Similar kind of XLR connector can be found on medium quality microphone cable in the shop. Buy good mic cable at the metre and make your own XLR cables. The only thing you need is some soldering practice.
May not be real heavy use pro level. But if you don't own a multi-million studio you probably don't bother :)
Super duper for home-recording and amateur use.
