  • Great finish, solid feel LED

    posted by DrKelvin

Great finish. Solid feel.I have never had a cree LED before so cant say if this one is so much better than something else but it is bright as h-ll i can tell you!And it seems to run of a regular 1.2V AA battery just fine. It comes exactly as picture stated with one red o-ring and the rest are black.
It seems to be able to hold of water quite good but i havent tested this yet. But if the o-rings are greased with some silicone grease then I cant see why it shouldnt be waterproof.
If you need a sturdy small flashlight that is good for Every Day Carry, and you dont want to use special batteries (14500 lithium) then buy this one!
  • Nice tiny light

    - Great design and nice shape.- Very bright for one-AA flashlight- Even more bright when using 14500 Li cells- Tailstands
You should definitely consider buying 14500 Lithium cells for this (or any other one-AA) flashlight. It is MUCH brighter with them.Runtime on 14500 cells is about 50 minutes in High mode.
One of the best choices on DX for those looking for AA-size light.
  • My first Flashlight is very good

Very bright with my Ansmann batteries. Have uniform light and good quality strap. I like it and will add to my EDC.
I didn't put it in the water, but it looks safe.Light reaches the neighboring house (40 m).I did not expect that flashlight would be very good, but that worth the money that I spent
Very glad that I bought this model.I hope my review will help someone choose a good model.Thank you, DealExtreme, for your good products and prices.
  • Pretty good flashlight

    Nice body machining.
    Good thermal transfer
No useless SOS or MED modes
Spring on driver for positive contact
Works OK with AA after using a li-ion (didn't burn the driver)
    Has clip
Got it to replace an old Ultrafire C3 I use as tasklight at work. Compared with the C3, this Aurora is way better. Has no (for me) useless SOS or Med modes, has clip, threads are way better than the ultrafire, so no contact issues. Body has more mass, with thicker aluminium walls. Better built.
If you are planning to get a Akoray K-106 or Trustfire F20, you might consider this flashlight. It won't fail on AAs after using Li-Ion. Black body with perfect finish. Nice GITD booty and O-Rings. Has no SOS or Med modes.
Really happy with this small light. Glad I picked this instead the F20 or the K-106
  • Small and bright flashlight

Its really small and light flashligh, made out of metal. Its great to have it always in car, backpack etc, where it might become handy. It is really bright (but there are brightier flashlights).
no control of light focus, but maybe then torch would be heavier.
Ordered two, one was dead on arrival, but dx succesfully shipped me another without any problem.
