  • Good quality, 7.4W output, 8.6 watt consumption

    posted by nagymate

Small, good quality. High frequency output (LEDs will not flicker). Protected against too small resistance loading.Large input voltage range.
While output power is around 7.4 Watts, consumption is 8.6 Watts (from 230V input voltage). This means 86% efficiency. Output voltage is vary depending on the loading to achieve almost constant current. In case of open circuit the output voltage is around 45 Volts.
If You only need only 7.4 Watts and 86% efficiency, this product can be a good choice for You. You cannot use 10W 12V LED chips with this, because the lowest output voltage is higher than 12V
  • compact LED driver

Very small form factor LED driver. Can be used to drive 4 or 5 1W LEDs in series. Clearly marked soldering points. Flexible wires allow this unit to be placed in GU10 bulbs which are assebmled using threaded screw assembly type. E.g. wires can be twisted.
Unit has no heatsink and cannot be fittet with one, but since it is not going too hot, that is not really a problem.
    God for DIY projects.
  • Good, but lower power then indicated

Relatively small, cheap equipment with an acceptable build quality.
It has a noticeable delay, like 0.3 - 0.5 s when you switch it on due to the built in capacitor.
I have built 4 lamps at home using these and 6-8 PCS of 1W Power Leds. So far everything is working as expected.
Just have ordered the bigger brother: SKU 81770 for more power.
  • small dc-dc converter

The device was bought for powering Cree xml diode to limit current. The device have Voltage and Current regulation. My diode takes 3 ampers of current so I had to use little radiator with a thermal grease on the LM microchip, without it temperature was more than 100 C and LM chip protection had tripped. After i've used heat sink everythink became OK)
    informative specification
    good deal
  • Great for DIY lights

Its sealed so no need to worry about electrocuting yourself on components at mains voltages. Mounting lugs to attach it to your housing.
I used two of these to under drive twenty 3 watt LEDs in a florescent light housing. It would be nice to have 20w drivers that can drive four 5 watt LEDs or two 10 watt LEDs, so I had less soldering to do.
Great easy to use driver for twenty 1 watt LEDs (10S2P) or to under drive ten 3 watt LEDs.
