  • Good Camera

Easy to use, very handful. It's possible to access (after proper router configuration) the images by internet.
This cold be a greater product, with some good features. With some effort, it should work a lot better.
It's a reasonable good product. I hope at last some years.

good camera for the price you pay, nice solid housing, support is ok,quality looks very good. Easy to install - works with
Even I have to investigate more. The construction of the mount, secured with 2 screws) is not the best choice but hey, other mounts available here that are much better.
Overall it is very good camera for the price.
  • Good 300k camera.

Nice user interfaceConnects to the network via cable or WiFiWaterproofNice picture quality, price and resolution considered.Good build quality. Housing looks very sturdy. You have a lot of configuration options, and it works okay with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Android browsers!
Have not tried the waterproof 'feature' yet. (It has not rained since installation)Included tool makes it easy to find your camera and configure it remotely although it didn't found mine (running windows 7). It mentioned a strange default gateway (no idea where it got that from, via 'ipconf' everything looked okay) Using windows XP, it worked perfectly.
Good value for money. If you are going to use it in combination with security software, please do check beforehand if it is compatible.
  • Quite decent External IP Camera

It's extremely easy to set and to get it working, like most IP cameras out there.IT IS INDEED water/weatherproof.Has multiple devices feature and works with sku. 26358.Has native ddns address so, in fact, all you have to do is open your router ports.Pretty solid housing and stand. Cable is really thick and the a/c connectors get a nice isolation when plugged.Wifi worked with WPA encryption, though I haven't tested it for more than 2 hours.Seems to be a genuine Apexis product.
Bought 5 of these. Used 2 at home and 3 to improve my company's surveillance system.Overall, I'm satisfied. In my opinion, Ip cameras are way easier to deal with than cctv cameras.
It's a great buy. Having to return one defective camera was just bad luck, I think.Maybe I'll try different models just for curiosity's sake, but I would definitely buy this product again.
  • Good camera with limited 720p

    posted by Malvineous

The camera works very well under Linux with Firefox. The picture is quite good, but about standard for a webcam. The camera runs Linux, and if you have a MIPS compiler you can upload and run your own programs on it.
The 720p image is cropped to 640x480 for web view, rather than resized. The firmware is very open and you can telnet right to a BusyBox/Linux command prompt. Make sure you don't allow others to connect via telnet or they can corrupt your camera's firmware, as well as finding out your camera's username or password remotely. The 720p stream uses about 450kB/sec while the 640x480 web browser stream uses 1.5MB/sec. If less bandwidth than this is available, the framerate will be reduced.
A standard version of the MayGion MIPS camera which works well enough. But be careful if you put it online as it is quite easy to accidentally make your camera freely accessible to the entire world.
