  • Good converter for zif to 1.8 IDE connector

    posted by lyangsuper

I used this together with a SATA to 1.8" IDE Hard Drive Adapter Card (SKU 19736) to connect a mtron mobi 3018 drive to a regular pc. The mtron is a ZIF ide drive but using this you can connect it to a regular sata connector.
Easy to use just click together and go, the zif cables are slightly different in format so try both of them if one doesn't quite fit.
Excellent combined with the sata-ide adapter to connect zif drives to SATA connectors.
  • Perfect adapter! UDMA-33 is fully supported/

    posted by kostap

Very good one. Bought it as replacement of almost the same adapter that refused to support UDMA-33 transfers due to the wrong wiring. This one works perfect and my ST1 Seagate micro drive finally works in UDMA-33.
Soldering is good, it even comes with user manual. Master/slave switch.
Works with flash cards and micro drives (CF-II type)
I wish it has a second CF socket soldered on the back side.
Perfect adapter specially for the low price.
  • Great value for money

This little converter does the job.
These are hard to find nowadays. DX not only have them but they are dead cheap too. I use this to connect a CF to a small netbook running Linux. For this price I think I will actually order a few to have some stock.
Great price for a converter like this.
  • Worked as expected

Needed to save data from the HD with a CE ZIF connector on a mini toshiba laptop, where the main board had died. And with the help from a USB 2.5" IDE interface and this gadget, mission was acomplished.
I have used this for one task only and for a limited time, so i can not tell how it will behave when used for more permanent operation.
Saved the day for me. :) And is a nice addition in my collection of repair/data recovery gadgets.
  • cheap SSD

    posted by omega256

    - As fast as my SD card is with a PDA (9 MB/s)
    - Fast access time, less than 1ms
    - Very cheap
    - Easy to use
    - Three very bright LEDs (Power, SD, Access)
So all in all it's a very nice thing. Very fast, easy to use, and the cheapest SSD you can build. 4Gb SSD at around 20$.
I can't check if, SDHC works.
