ic socket Customers Reviews

  • Good quality

It is a simple object with only one function. It does perfectly what it's supposed to do. The materials look durable, not expensive, good built quality and lightweight. No bent pins.
bought this for my bootloading my arduino chips. It works very fine. It is delivered mounted on a plastic protection "brick" to keep the pins straight.
You should buy if you consider buying a zif socket.
  • Fantastic for the price

Seems like exactly the same product that is sold by mainstream electronics vendors - for a fraction of the price! Great for microcontroller programming jigs, etc.
There is no DIP28 with 0.3 row spacing in the package - however as far as I have been able to find (even on mainstream vendor sites) they are rare/impossible to find.
If you need ZIF socket(s), this whole package is cheaper than a single unit on a mainstream vendor site - 'nuff said!
  • Good but not universal as a textool

Very cheap, good quality, very solid, not much more to say abouth a simple socket, too simple to write many lines of text
seams to be strong enough, good quality, very solid, good feeling easy to solder.
be carefull when ordering, dont doit without paying atention, like I do.... anyway very cheap so no big deal I will try to play with it to get converted to an univresal socket, nothing to losse
  • adapter socket with plcc extractor

    posted by zmaj

set of PLCC 20/24/28/32/40 and PLCC Extractor that just works :)
You may need to fix poor soldering on one adapter, the other two are soldered well.PLCC Extractor may feel a little bit fragile but do the job, could be bigger for easier pull out.
Works as specified, due to poor soldering you may need to fix soldering on one adapter.
  • Good, but some packaging problems.

You always need some IC sockets when working with electronics. Get some of these sets so you have all required sizes.
    Not much more to say.
Useful to have around, but I think these won't last long if you plan to use them for intensive insert/remove operations. Get something better if you need that. For use-once, they will do fine.
