  • I was expecting a bit more

    - Does exactly what it says. You heat it up, it shrinks to about 1.5mm- Easy to cut- Small package so it easily fits into any toolbox (no matter how crowded)- Rather flexible so it doesn't get too damaged while it's packed tight.
At the end of the day, it work. I'm not sorry I got it, and I think most people won't be either.Just keep in mind that there's some points that could be improved
If you need to mend a bad earphones cable (or something like that), and you don't want it to look like crap, this will do the trick.
  • Great, inexpensive, good quality

Good luck finding heat-shrink tubing for less... or even double... or triple the price. FWIW, I received 5.2 meters - BONUS!
    It's inexpensive so no worries.
If you need H/S tubing this is a deal. Probably more than you'll ever need. I bought 5 sizes and will split it with another DIY friend.
  • Performs great, though it does shrink 2.5-3mm vs 3.5mm

Works like it should, shrinks well and does not melt like other cheaper forms found on other sites. Also no tearing issues as it shrinks.
I like it, thought don't mistake the 5M for 5m, 5M seems to be the "brand", not the length. It's more like 9 feet, give or take a little. as Mentioned above I would like it to come on some kind of spool but I know I'm asking too much there.
Overall, works great and I find it fits my needs well. Could be a little cheaper though.
  • diameter too large

    tough, well made, cheap
If I were todo it again I would have ordered the multiple size pack to make sure I got what I needed.
this is thick walled stuff and might not be appropriate for your project due to sizing and weight/stiffness. I work mostly with model airplanes and this shrink tubing would be more appropriate in an industrial setting.
  • Tiny for tight spots

Tiny, low profile anodised aluminium. Doesn't foul other chips or case.Peel and stick. Eight in one package is a good number as it will suit a number of applications.
Works well on Raspberry Pi model B for both large chips.I left a heatsink off the regulator as the pins for the reset button are adjacent to the regulator chip and I haven't soldered them on yet.Clean top of chip to be cooled with methylated spirits, allow to dry before applying heatsink. I used a pair of tweezers to place the heatsink in the correct position before pressing down to ensure it was firmly adhered.
    Easy to fit. Works well.
