  • Totally works

Really good space saver/problem solver. The product feels robust. Dont think it will bend or break when used normally. I was pleasantly surprised that not only there were no sharp edges or corners but also the parts seems to be properly powder coated
Does what it says, quality part

If you accustomed to handle computer hardware, it's really easy to get this adapter working. Just plug any drive in each end and you're done. It is also quite small, so you won't even notice it once the case is closed.
It's a good product if you intend to backup old IDE hard drives. It's way cheaper than an HDD case, so it's a good pick for the price
It works really well, met my expectations
  • the most complete model and with good price that I found in this site.

I was needing a model that was accepting all the types of hd and that was connecting with entry e-sata. that one was better than I found and I do not repent. easy of using and much usefulness for technicians of computer. it avoids to have to open the computer to read hds of the clients.
now when I need to do maintenance in hds from clients it is only to fit in the dock station and to connect in the entry of the computer it shears sata or usb2.0
I bought together with a reader e-sata to read the hd in the very speed. the read is installed inside the computer and it comes already with end that it adapts to a dock station.
  • Works well, capable of at least 45MBps reads

Tested this with a 233x RiData CF card - Linux hdparm -t showed consistent 45MBps reads - most likely limited by the card itself. Was able to boot Ubuntu off the card etc. Build quality seems quite good. Very happy.
Be careful inserting CF card - easy to misalign and bend the tiny pins. If you want to boot Windows off of this do your research - by default it won't work with most CF cards. There are utilities that may be able to help if you want to boot Windows off this. Works great with Linux without doing anything special. Don't expect high-end-SSD speeds or longevity, but great for a small server where you mostly just use the CF for booting and don't write to it much.
I was worried this might not have great throughput (some SATA-to-ATA converters have terrible throughput and thought this might use one of those chips), but it went at full speed (sequential reads) with the fastest CF card I currently have. If you need solid-state storage that you'll mostly read from and want good speeds, this seems like a good choice.
  • GREAT gadget to those in need of a SATA connector!

The price is a bargain! This device is perfect for anyone who has a SATA HDD but doesn't have a SATA connector at all, or someone who has SEVERAL molex connectors and wants to install a spare drive.
Surprised no one has order this or made a review on this! I was surprised that it actual worked, I only order one to see how it does work and how it is. I honestly can say I plan on ordering a few more.
The price is a steal! I plan on order another 5-10 as I can find SEVERAL use in my custom computer, my power supply has a broken SATA connector so with my 4pins that are just laying around I now can use for my HDDs.
