  • Compares favorably with name brand products

By far the best price and quality of any of the protectors of this type. One of the larger electronics companies as well as a few on the net want $9.95 for the 3.5" version of this unit, and $7.95 for this 2.5" model. These are virtually identical to the ones I bought previously.
I definitely recommend using these protectors for drives "just lying around" as well as using to temporarily hook up a drive to a "test" system. I use these regularly to protect a customer's drive when I have the drive out of the case and hooked up to my test bench system.
Buy more than one. You will find them indispensable once you've used one.

  • Vibration protection for your hard drive

    - Vibration protection for your 3.5" hard drive used as external storage- Helps reduce the noise from the disk vibrating on the table- Can stack units on your shelf when storing them
I use this with a 2.0Tb SATA hard drive which is plugged through an external SATA port on a media player I own. Since the media player is on my room, the noise from the hard drive vibration on the TV rack was annoying me, this thing served as a spacer/dampener which reduced the noise considerably (the only noise now is the actual drive spinout). It also serves (when you have many of these) to stack hard drives on shelves (storing them) without risk of damaging the discs from impact or scratching its circuit boards. Of course it won't protect your disk drive from damage due to falling onto the ground but will protect from minor impacts.
If you need this, buy. It is a decent quality product which is hard to come by on computer stores around here.
  • Water tight protective box

Splash proof.Bright coloured, so you can't loose it (although I bet I manage to).Big enough for a 3x18650 battery pack and small DC-DC converter.Should provide adequate protection for the battery pack from the elements.
I needed a splash proof box for battery packs, this one was ideal for 3x1865 and still space for a DC-DC converter. Not that much room on the outside for a connector, so a small brass cable gland was used.I bought two different coloured boxes in this size, this one leaked air, the other didn't. However its more than good enough for my use (battery pack for action cam on a bike).
I can't really say its a cheap alternative to a Peli case, because the Peli cases are far superior. However, they are good enough and cheap enough for small projects and to be considered disposable. Will buy more.
  • Good anti shock, not waterproof

Beautiful, easy to use. 4 locks;Good. Good foam density;I put a 2.5 hard drive inside it and it's good protected and the foam makes it keep safe (stuck)
The locks could be better quality or other kind, this locks looks like very fragile.
If you have some fragile stuff to keep safe, this is a very good option.
