  • Easy handheld mouse

Easy to use. Button placement is okay. The trigger (left click) has the right resistance - I don't have to force it, and it doesn't accidentally click. The scroll wheel is in an odd placement, but because the mouse is small, it's easy to hold the mouse differently when scrolling. In the trigger hole, there's a small button on the bottom. That changes the DPI from 400 / 600 / 800 / 1000, and the scroll wheel light will light up different colours to tell you what setting it's on. I find 400 is just perfect, anything higher is way too sensitive. It's plastic, it feels like plastic, it's light, but overall feels quality.
With more use, I'm sure I'll get used to it. In the meantime, I still have my optical mouse connected, just in case. Using this trackball mouse might be awkward for photoshopping as well.
The price is a little higher than I would have preferred, but I'm not disappointed with this purchase.

    1. Build quality is far higher than expected. The trackball (which is heavy and solid) sits on proper bearings.
    2. Comfortable to use for extended periods. Real handy for extended document reading actually. Suitable for left handed persons too.
    3. Trackball can be removed for cleaning.
If you're getting old and finding that extended mouse usage is hurting your forearm like me, this gizmo is great for extended computer usage. You can let your arm hang naturally during use instead of pushing something on the table around.
I use this in combo with a mouse. Both move the pointer. Simply switch between the two as necessary.
I suppose this is a niche product. Younger people, or people who don't work at their computers are highly unlikely to need this.
However it certainly decreases muscle knotting and forearm soreness resulting from extended mouse usage. It takes a while to learn to switch between them, but definitely pays dividends once mastered.
