This product is good and has good finishing. He is also handsome, which can ajuar the photographer. The material is plastic and is not dull, and a little brighter. The length of the wire is sufficient. The case that comes with it is a very nice surprise. It allows you to use 6 batteries at the same time, it is advisable to always use the 6 cells.
Despite having to use it with 10 cells it helps a lot when the cells get hot flash. Then connect the case and still pictures.
    It was good to me.
  • anyway, it is a good buy

Cheap, easy to operate, well designed, good (hard enough) plastic, do the business.
Printed polarity of batteries in the bay is wrong!!!
Must be located in opposite direction!
If you need more power for your SB-900 - buy it! It cost a fraction from the price of the original one.
    Watch for polarity of batteries!

This is a great product. Takes 6 AA batteries and plugs into the 3-pin power connector and the PC jack on Nikon Flashes.
    It can be used with the Nikon SB-11, SB-22, SB-25, SB-26, SB-27, SB-28, SB-28DX, SB-80DX, & SB-800 Speedlights.
Total flashes per round of batteries is almost doubled. The flash recycling time will be cut by at least 50%.
The PC connector NEEDS to be connected to the flash, without that, it will not work. However this is the same way the Nikon SD-8a works.
If you need to use a radio sync system with this connected to the flash as well. Look for the Nikon AS-E900. This is a 3-pin cable that you can modify and use to trip the flash.
This is just like the Nikon SD-8a without the HUGE price tag. Overall, this is a great product and I would highly recommend getting this if you use flash.
  • Excellent product!

I have been using this external flash battery pack for many many shorts. It has not disappointed me. The refresh rate has improved significantly and I can shoot a few continuous shots at ISO 1600 without any problem. There is a nice LED light indicating when it is in operation. No problem synching with my Canon EOS 7D. Flash compensation perform as per normal. I am using a 580 EXII flash. This works well with rechargeable battery. The connection cable to the flash light works snuggly.
This is really a steal with the high quality and low price. Definitely a match to the original battery pack in term of performance. I can't think of a reason for anyone to buy the original since this compatible battery pack is working so well. However, please note that I maybe a lucky one. I have read of review of people complaining that third party external battery pack spoilt their flash..... I myself don't believe it because battery pack is a very simple device. Most likely those users did not know how to use it. I normally will turn off everything and then connect the flash to the body. Then I connect the cable from the external battery to the flash. Then I turn on the body and this is followed by the flash. I just want everything to be well connected before turning on.
Get it and start shooting flash photography! You will not regret it.
