  • Good network card, for it's price

The NIC is wel built and works in windows 7 Without any problems what so ever. Thruput tests are accurate as to what expect from a 1Gb cards. Realtek chipset.
Nice card for network techies that would like to have a second nic on hand for their laptop. Worth the price but it's not perfect.
Need a cheap card, then this one is it.

I do recommend it if yo have or intend to have usb 3 disk because it work just like an internal\local fast disk

Works for any notebook with 54mm express card slot.
The chipset is JMicron JM363 and comes with two E-sata ports.
Driver CD is included but I downloaded the latest drivers from JMicron's website.
I was able to get full SATA speed with external hard disk plugged to my notebook. USB2.0 is no match compared to SATA full speed.
Card is hot swappable so no restart needed, just plug in and take out anytime.
For 11 bucks, I would say this is a steal, a must have if your notebook comes with 54mm express card slot and doesnt come with E-SATA port.
You could use an external 7200rpm drive as boot drive for your laptop with this express card!
  • Simple and work as expected

Small, comes with metal cover, does what suppose to do (adds two SATA III ports). Windows 7 64-bits recognizes automatically, but is better if you install ASMEDIA 106x latest drivers (google it).
If you uses the drivers that came in the provided CD, it has a XLS file listing the drivers for each folder/hardware.It comes with low profile bracket, could be usefull for small desktops like Dell computers with DT casing.
It does what supposes to do, it is good for who needs to add more SATA ports or adding SATA III support.
  • Must have adapter for suited laptop

Works for any operating system on notebook with 54mm express card slot. Driver CD is included but I didn't needed any with Windows 7.
The card runs hot during use (especially, in my laptop, because it's plugs in on top of my hard drive). When using with two external hard drives, the battery life gets reduced. Need to hold the card itself when pluging or unpluging it, to avoid damaging the card.
You could use fast external drive as boot drive, or a couple of hardrives as a storage for your laptop with this express card.
