  • A true 2.0 usb hub.

    posted by linnusx5

    - Great price!- Windows 7 x64 recognized the ExpressCard as soon as I plugged in, no external driver installation needed.- Full 2.0 USB speed on the 4 ports (tested with a Sandisk Cruzer Micro flash drive, 80gb iPod Classic and 16gb iPhone 3GS sync).- You can plug and unplug as much as you like (to swap for another ExpressCard - in my case, a Firewire ExpressCard).
    - Tested on a Dell Studio notebook.
Great price for a 2.0 USB hub, perfect for those who need additional USB ports on their notebooks.
  • Works ok with Ubuntu

    posted by nickbrandwood

Works ok with IBM R60 laptop running Ubuntu 10.10, didn't need to load drivers etc. Has a usb power cable that runs out of the little hole in the left side.
No idea whats on the CD because I didn't use it.
Ubuntu compatible usb3 card. Not many to choose from worked fine and is faster than usb2. occupies a USB port for power, not sure if this is optional or not. Power plug on usb look like the "fat nokia" plug that is fairly standard and easy to find.
  • Nice gigabit card

    posted by Bebeck

The product is very good. Being a gigabit ethernet adapter is excelent for this price. I plugged the device in my notebook and turned it on. The device was already ready to use. All I did was to connect a network cable to my router and surf on the Internet.I use Linux in my notebook and it was not necessary to download and install any driver before using it.
The local network card of my notebook is not working very fine. It stops working and you can not do anything.
The device is excellent and so is the price.
  • Express Card Adapter for Laptop

    posted by r1c4rd0100

    - Works fine - Doesn't protrude from side of laptop - Installation very easy, just put the Express Card into the laptop to run the cd drives and was soon working
As long as you've got the recent WHQL drivers, this should work fine on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. I get a 90MB/s read speed from my Samsung S2 USB3.0 HD. I couldn't find any Mac or Linux drivers yet. The chip is a Fresco Logic FL1000 FWIW.
If you're running Windows and need a USB3.0 card, this one will work well.
