Works as describedI connected to it with 3 different Android applications, and they all worked as described.
The code to connect is "1234"Couldn't find that anywhere on packaging on the useless CD included with it.
I owned an older version USB based reader, but it was way too difficult to get laptops to recognize the dongle. This was VERY EASY to use. Paired with Bluetooth on my Android phone and on my laptop without any issues.
  • fair product / excallent price

Really fast connection and easy to handle with it. The cd has a lot of programms to use with it.. Clear fault codes, you could looking dynamic characteristics of engine!!!, I think that it takes me some time to find all the functionality of it!!
highly recommend it....It is easy to install, Bluetooth has a good signal, ana you have a lot of programs to use with it!!!
    fair and cheap!!!

I purchased this adapter over the other ELM327 adapters available on this site, because it appeared to have a physical on/off switch which would allow me to keep it connected to the OBD-II port on my vehicle while the vehicle was turned off. For this purpose, it does exactly what you would expect. It stays connected to the vehicle without drawing power. It also looks nicer than most of the other adapters available!
Bluetooth pairing requires a password, which isn't mentioned in the packaging. Mine was 1234. I did not try the high speed link update mode in the app I downloaded, so I don't know if it works or not. I tested the device on a later model Kia and it reported a lot more information to the app than my (older) vehicle did.
These days, you can get a wide variety of inexpensive diagnostic devices for you vehicle, but this one both looks nice and can be shut off when you don't need it, while still remaining attached to the vehicle. It's worth the price.
  • Excellent Tool - Easy Setup on Android

Simple - Plug in then connect to it.
Connecting by Laptop took a while but got there in the end. I connected easily on my phone so that proved it worked. It was then just a matter of fiddling with laptop. NOTE: Code in book was correct.
Excellent bit of kit once you connect to it. Try with free software on a phone to confirm it works then have fun with bluetooth on a Laptop/Pc.The disk with it comes with some free software to enable you to connect the device easily and get some diagnosis functions working.
  • Great device for its size and price

-Very inexpensive for what it does -Very small (I cannot see it sticking out from my OBD II port -Easily pairs with a smartphone or computer-Useful for reading OBD II codes with compatible software
I was very cautious when I bought this OBD II reader. It was the first day DX had it, and it was the cheapest and smallest I had seen so far, but it works very well with my 2008 MINI Cooper S, and the Torque app for Android! The only thing I have yet to see that other reviews on OBD II readers have commented on is a continuous battery drain, but the phone seems to loose connection when the car turns off indicating the module also turns off.
This is an awesome product for the price! Larger ones sell on DX for $10+ more and do exactly the same thing.
