I offer to use it for solidering cables, easy jobs on circuits for not so little parts. Cable lenght is appropriate, not so long, not so short. Connector is also safety one. There is no holder, but it is no necessary beacuse the balanced weight and design. It's need a little time to get enought hot to use it, but it isn't so long. I would buy it again.

  • Excelent soldering iron!

Very cheap excellent quality soldering iron. The thin tip makes it perfect for soldering small things. Heats up and cools down very quickly. Very good for the price.
I've been using it for motherboard repair and it works excellent. My only concern was that it will be too hot for fine electronic components, but so far so good.
I would definitely recommend this soldering iron to anyone. Very satisfied with it.
  • Very useful to have around

It works right out of the box. Used as a torch, the flame has just the right size. When used as a soldering iron, it has lots of power, and can actually be run on 30% power.
What appeared strange to me, is that the refill valve seems to be leaking when filling the tank up. But upon closer inspection, I see that this is intended. A kind of vent opens when the refillment nipple is depressed, thus allowing gas to flow in quicker. When the tank is full, excess gas qill squirt out, so you know it has been filled up to the top. When released, the valve closes 100%, nothing to complain here. It is just a little odd when one does not know it.
Very useful when working outdoors. When I solder on my bike, it is a hassle to have the cable of my workshop solderin iron around. The gas iron allows me to work much more freely.
  • Excellent! But..

-It is a light and compact gas soldering iron-It uses conventional butane gas-It doesnt get hot on the handle-It heats up relatively fast (1 minute or less)
-In principle you can use this for mini size electronics, but you have to be extremely careful, because it's easy to melt components if you get the flame exhaust too close.
-Recommended for small size electronic works (for example involving some wires, or small lightbulbs)-Not recommended for circuit boards
