    I think get it again for my next DIY projects . All the cons are not due to this device's faults, it is just the way this sort of displays operate.

    Works as a display for my RepRap. Has solder points on both sides of the board. Helpful with the holes in the corners to fasten it in an enclosure.
    It is nice that the board is not much larger than the display, but it can also be a challenge when mounting it in some materials and enclosures. But for my use it worked well

    Very easy to use 7 segment display. Had to figure out the connections and how to drive ( common anode or cathode ) this 7 segment display. Within 5 minutes I had it working.You can drive the display with the spi interface of the arduino. The first byte you can select the digit ( or digits ). A '1' selects the digit. LSB is the left digit and the MSB is the right digit.The second byte represents the LEDs of the digit. LSB is 'A' and the MSB is the 'Digital Point'. But this byte has to be inverted.Thats it!// take the SS pin low to select the chip:digitalWrite(slaveSelectPin,LOW);// send in the digit and value via SPI:SPI.transfer(digit);SPI.transfer(~value);// take the SS pin high to de-select the chip:digitalWrite(slaveSelectPin,HIGH);
    Include a small note on how to drive this display can help people a lot. But that is what I put in all my reviews... I am a bit irritated that I have to figure out the connections or driving schedule all the time.
    Great display for driving all kind of things...In my case a simple clock display ;)

    Very cheap 8x 7segment LED display (best price i could find on net). Possible to connect in chain! Very easy to use, interfacable with Arduino. Just plug and play. Comes in ESD bags.
    Cheap!!! Good quality manufactured. Good to play and learn.Would be nice to have it in other forms, colours and sizes.
    Very good for its price!
