  • Very good

Very cheap one in comparison with professional tools, very usefull for some models, save several times in money just performing resset of errors.
the comparison price x usefull is very good, but you need a little bit experienced in SW and HW, also some internet research.
Save a lot of money, just one reset in error codes pays the gadget. if you have a laptop is the best choice, you can determine and choose several com definitions, I am not sure it can be dome in wifi or bluethooth device.
  • MaxiScan MS609 brief review

MaxiScan works as it is supposed to work. Easy to connect, easy to understand menu. I like the material. The screen is big enough too. Buttons work quite smooth, and there no need to use forse to push them. Reader reads engine codes and ABS codes as it is supposed to do. Erases those codes, too.
    I like the product.
I suggest to buy this item. overall I feel satisfied to have it.
  • Plugged it in and it worked!

    - Comes with everything as described.- The Price (considering auto electricians will charge 60-80 dollars australian to look at your car for an hour)- Recognised my car (2005 Mazda 2)- Good size manual detailing its uses.- Carry bag has a handle on the top.- Good cable length, about 1.5m (5')
I was uncertain whether it would work but it came through. I have not tried the software yet (don't really have a need either). I bought this to trouble shoot problems when the engine light comes on.
My engine light came on and my car wasn't advancing the 'distributor' anymore. So after purchasing this it said the fault was 'P0327 knock sensor 1, circuit low bank 1 or single sensor'. The knock sensor was $70 from mazda. Unit and sensor = $146. Mazda price to replace, $250. Well worth the money. Plus I can help friends with their cars now....and maybe charge a carton on the side for the help :D
  • Great Money saver

Worked out of the box on both my Audi and my wifes beetle. Reset my MIL light which was due to a "Faulty" O2 sensor. Mechanic quoted over $400 to replace. Guess what? hasn't come back on saved me $400 less $30
If you own a VW or Audi you need this in your toolbox
Save yourself money get one so you're not at the mercy of the car dealer
  • works great, tested with Skoda and Lada :)

Very easy to use and has good manual which lists all kind of codes (hundreds of them). It supports many diagnostic protocols. When connecting to car, it goes thru the diagnostic protocols and uses the matching one. It worked even with a ten years old Lada Samara (amazing) and listed all the engine and ignition problems it had. Build quality is good, it feels solid. Works also fine with VAG cars.
You can easily check the problems and clear the fault light if the problems is a non-important one.
You should have one in your glove box.
