  • Good for the price

I think that the relay is not the best solution. It should be replaced with mosfet so the circuit could work with 5V input.Another thing is that the delay can not be changed maybe with just some trimmer.
For the price it is good but it could be better
  • First impressions

Looks as a similar item usually sold at USD300.- and above. Fine soft touch, good and carefully assembled, nice package, no word in Chinese. Some might not even understand it's a cheaper than it pretends to be.
Still can't tell its efficiency because the test-drive is just upcoming. Was purchasing this along with GRD-350 comparing their detecting frequencies.
Will update my posts soon with detection results in Russia and will also try to compare it with GRD-350 when I receive it.
Anyway it worths its money. But the test drive is still to be run and checked for sliding doors, STRELKA-ST and other dangers usually met underway.
  • Good Product

i tried the radar detector on the highway on the first day and at the first try it didnt work. I changed it to nagivator mode and it beeped loud enough. That is enough I think to announce a radar upfront. Some people say their radars beep everywhere; at traffics lights etc. this one doesn't though, so no worries
with regards to price-quality, this is a good product since it does the basics-- announce you of radars on the road!
Good radar detector! cant complain since the price is really worth it
  • Good product some error in product description

Relativ smal but the circuit boards could be smaler. and does what it should do. Only short time testing but, a nice product for the price. Bouth of the circuit boards has holes so easily fixed to something. The timing potentiometer could have a + and - for easier adjustment of the time.
In my opinion and with a "couple" of years of experiens in electronics. The relay on the circuit board is marked with 12V DC, this means that the product description it says 5-24V. Tested the board with 6volts and the relay didn´t pull befor you tapped on it. If you go higher than 12V it could break. I would recommend 9-16V.
I got this for testing purposes only but I´m preaty shure I will use it for a light project in the future. If you need a cheap IR-motion detector buy this.
  • Great sensor - easy to retro fit

    posted by StNz

This PIR does the usual 12v NC connection thing. Very well labelled connections, and very easy to retro fit into a legacy alarm system, or to build your own.
Can be flush or corner mounted. LED inidicator can be disabled, and is above the sensor (Previous ones were below). I pulled out 4 different ones when refurbishing my alarm - nice to have them all the same!
Great price, and a very useful sensor. Can be daisy chained in the usual way, and connects via standard 4-wire cable.
