Very bright. Probably close to 600 lm. but I have no way to measure it. It's brighter than a UF 502b rated 900 lm. Very nicely made and the emitter is well centered. It has memory too.Fit perfectly in a Ultrafire C8. Even the reflector fit perfectly after I removed the small plastic washer from the back of the reflector. A necessity because the XM-L emitter is larger than the original. It popped right off though.I should also mention that the original module had a spring on the back, but this one doesn't. It still fit perfectly.
I bought it to replace the module in a light that has "next mode memory". The light has gone from my least favorite, to my most favorite single XM-L light.
A few dollars cheaper and I would have given it 5 stars for price. But still worth it because it turned an unused light into an often used light. I definitely recommend it to upgrade a C8 light.Very glad I bought it. :)
  • Not a bad light, some small issues

    -Nice small size torch-VERY bright-Very useful and floody beam-Nice GITD tailpiece-It does tailstand-Did I mention it's bright?
Overall a very nice light...a 3.75 out of 5 stars I would give. Bright! Very nice floody beam that illuminates the entire yard, out to 60 yards easy.BUT, of course, poor machining and QC. The body housing is uneven. Protected batteries fit VERY tight...I have to unsrew both ends to push out the battery.Memory mode is very quirky. When I first got it, it would reset back to high after shutting off for 2 or 3 seconds. Then it changed so now it resets after around 10 seconds. Occasionally it is still resetting back to high after 3 seconds. I can't figure out why. When I first had it, it also was flickering quite a lot. That seems to have stopped. One thing I have to say is I am a little dissapointed in runtime. I wanted to use this for Mountain Biking and the beam pattern would be perfect for this, but it only lasts around 35-40 minutes on High. Medium got me around 1:40 or so. However, this torch on medium is still slightly brighter than my Trustfire TR-801 on high, with a nicer flo
Pretty good light with some common issues. Very bright at the expense of lower runtimes. I will be using this to bike with, but I question whether it'll be as dependable as my TR-801. One thing is certain that I will still be carrying my 801 on rides; just in case!
  • Very good quality, about 200 lumen output

very good quality overall, thick o-ring rubber batter cover seal, tough aluminum body, meaty feel to it.
Compared side by side with a Surefire 6PX Pro. Almost identical light output (a hair less), but with less even light dispersion. There is dirt inside the lens that I cannot clean out. Doesn't affect the light output really, but it just bugs me.Switching between modes is very easy. Yes, it does remember which mode you were last on.
great deal for AA flash light with VERY good light output
  • Pretty practical

Nicely built, good grip, light pattern typical for most XML flashlights - bright hotspot with smooth transition to flood, so it both throws and floods. Very practical switch - it is tactical/forward clicky so you can turn it on with half-press. It always starts on low mode which is actually good for most utility purposes as it does not blind and helps save battery as you ramp up light as you need it. Separate mode button is nice touch and makes it easier to operate in gloves. Two 18650 batteries offer some stamina - it runs 1-1.5 hours on high and maybe more if you use really good cells.
No lanyard (but there are holes to attach one). If you want to attach it to bicycle (I use it on bars) you can use two sku.31871 mounts if you put them next to each other and cut the walls in the middle so they make a wider U-mount together. It is a bit heavy for them but usable if your ride is not too bumpy.
Very practical flashlight, my favorite so far.
  • Great CREE XM-L

Very, very, very bright. I use it only at my bike at ~500mA out of my dynamo. Surly its oversized, but so it running extremly effective. But even so it is no comparison to my old halogen bulb (which was also good). It makes light subjectively 4 times more as the old bulb.
Perhabs I gonna use the next XM-L's for a spot at higher power. We will see.
Very bright emitter, nice price what else could you demand ;)
