  • awesome little light, good battery time

a well made light sturdy and robust looks like it will last many years.good light beam for spotlighting, beam goes at least 200metres , or wide beam for close up work, light lasts well 3hours plus on constant use. can use for all night activities plus sports,
bigger capacity battery would be good
awesome light will definitely be buying more in the near future
  • Holy crap this head lamp is bright!

Did I say this light is bright? Nice construction on the light. I like the ability to adjust the light intensity. I don't have a meter to measure the lumens, but the output sure looks like 130 lumens to me. I like the simple on/off switch. I find it a pain having to toggle through multiple settings.
I have a COAST REVOLUTION DUAL COLOR LED HEADLAMP LL1065, and I like this head lamp much better.
Note: this lamp will get toasty hot after a few minutes of use. I just threw in a fresh set of NiMh AAA (Sanyo Enaloop, yeah the real stuff) and going strong for over 1/2 hour. I'll see how long the batteries last.
For the price I don't think you can go wrong.
  • 3W Cree LED Headlamp, sku 997

This is a really good headlamp. It is comfortable to wear, and well balanced. It shines a bright focused beam of white light, instead of those silly multi-LED lights. I owned one of the first LED headlights, maybe 10 years ago put out by Brinkmann. This headlight is several times brighter. I've changed the batteries once on this light and it's easy to do. I use this light for working in the attic of our house, for getting firewood for the wood stove at night. I've also used it to work on my car at night and for crawlspace work under the house. The light has an quick adjustment for angle to bring the light beam down for closer work. I can also wear a stocking cap over the strapping in cold weather.
The blinking red light is useless for my applications, but could be used for bicycling at night.
For hands-free working at night, or in unlit areas this headlight can't be beat. I highly recommend it.
  • Good headlamp for amateur use.

No external wires. Seems to be waterproof. Small size.
Were used this at expedition as in-tent headlight in wet cave and cold (-20) winter outdoor. Need to have at least 2 AA batteries if you want to have a breakfast and dinner with light.
If there would be fixes for this with better optics, and longer battery life I would buy one.
  • good quality, works as expected

    posted by garlend

i use 3 AAA batteries, the quality of light is very good. I though that having batteries separated from the bulb is not convenient, but it's just fine, cause all the weight is dispersed among the whole head, not in front of the head.
    good for traveling, fishing.
    i would recommend this lamp.
