  • Cheap CF to IDE drive converter

    - very cheap- easy to use
You can use this to convert a compact flash card to an internal IDE drive. Usefull for older systems because there aren't many IDE SSD drives available and all of them are expensive compared to SATA drives.Just connect the CF with this card and you have a completely silent IDE drive.I only tested this with an older 4 GB transcend flash card but it worked great.
Cheap and easy compact flash to IDE SSD converter.
  • Pocket Size CF Card Reader

    posted by gnaus

A very small and light CF card reader, i just tested it in a PC and laptop, as expected it works fine: it reads and writes stuff in your flash cards. It does its job with Windows 7 and Linux and many different CF cards.
A little short male to female USB cable would have been a nice addon to this thing.Sometimes you might need to plug it into a not very accessible USB port. Not a problem for me because i have lots of cables anyway.
If what you need is a CF card reader that doesn't take too much space in your pocket, toolbox or laptop bag that's the thing for you. Have a USB M to F extension cable at hand because you may need it sometimes.
  • It's real genuine SanDisk CF card

    posted by ILYAD

Id like just to note that it actually seems to be the genuine SanDisk CF card. I could register it on the SanDisk site, using the card's serial number. The test I passed into my PPC, revealed that the card really can write with extra high speed, but only if the file size is about 64 KB.
There is no holographic sticker on the box and no user guide inside the box.
Anyway, I think this card will work well in my NIKON D200.
  • Works with microdrive

    posted by ewhobbes

Works with CF, microdrives, and CF readers (mine was a type II CF card that reads SD cards).
The microdrive I was using does not fully support the PC-Card interface (it's a Seagate ST650211CF drive with firmware version 3.04; one of my CF reader will refuse to read it), but it still could be used with this adapter.
Wish there were better packaging than just bubble wrap. The pins came slightly bent. A little cardboard would help.
Great way to get a SSD into laptops if you've figured out how to minimize writes from your OS. I used it to replace a noisy HDD with a microdrive (which is more quiet). Also used it in USB enclosures. Definately useful.
  • Perfect for my Canon EOS 300D

-Oversized, for taking 500 pictures in 6 Megapixels RAW format.-Good speed (cut I can't test it).-Look like original SandDisk memory.-Comes with a case.-Samall sized CF Memory. Fits in all devices.-Excellent price
    -None that i can apreciate.
-Exellent product, but i can't test the speed, because my cam is slower (I thing, the cam doesn't specify the write speed). .
