  • Nice device

    a) Long battery life: Mine did more than 20k exposures in timelapse, with runntime of serveral days, and still uses the included batteriesb) Quick to set up exposure sequencesc) Illuminated display on demand. Useful for night exposuresd) Seems pretty sturdy
It might be even more useful if it allowed for finer interval control for timelapse shooting. 1seconds is a little coarse unit for those.Maybe the next version can get 1/4th of a second, or 0.1 second for intervals, too?
No big issues with it. It does everything its suppoed to, lasts forever on its batteries and is MUCH cheaper than any Canon original stuff
  • Didn't fit my Rebel camera

    posted by fatlolo

Looks like a good quality piece, for what I have seen in pictures pretty much the same than the original from canon
I guess I could take away some of the plastic with a knife to make it fit, but i rather re-sale it
If you have a rebel camera or any other EOS in which the eyepiece holder is in a lower level than the rest of the camera body you probably wont be able to use this
  • Good Product

    Good build.
The contacts of the pins are really nice and looks like they will last long.
Lock button works fine and is ideal for bulb exposures.
I find that the cable is length is just right for general use.

  • Simple but working great!

Tested on a Canon 7D, it's working as expected. Holding option, half-pressed option (for focus etc) Remote control
Don't forget to switch the auto-holding button of. Or it looks as though your camera doesn't react to anything you do! :)I had one for an older camera 350D from Canon but that one does not fit a Canon 7D
If you are not using these devices much then you are making a good choise using this one for a very affordable price.
  • The versatility of the TC-80N3 for a quarter of the price

    posted by echoedwards

    - Does what it says- Fairly easy to use- Uses AAA batteries- Can be used as a remote shutter trigger without power
I own the previous version of this remote which used AA batteries, which also cost less, but this is still a great device that does what the TC-80N3 does, but for much, much less.
If you're looking to try time lapse photography, or just need a customizable way to set a timer for a group photo, this device is your ticket.
