canon camera remote Customers Reviews

  • Excellent!

I've been using it on my Canon XS with the YN460 flash and it fires (or triggers the camera) reliably every time. The construction is OK, battery life is great. It uses a pair of AAA batteries, which is good because they're really easy to find. The ability to control camera, portable flash and studio strobe is awesome.
I'd have bought more of these by now if DX orders didn't take 2 months to arrive in Brazil.
As I said, it's a great product that might need some simple soldering if you want to use it as a shutter controller.Small, reliable, versatile, and cheap. What more could you want? I liked it so much, I just bought a second pair.
  • RC-6 Cheap Remote works!

    - Useful when you want to control the instant of the shot better than with automatic delay (e.g. to make sure that all the people in a group photo are ready and smiling and nobody is sneezing)
    - Indispensable for BULB operation
    - It is cheap
    - It works but not always in fluorescent lamps environment!!!!
    - Range is at least 5 meters as specified.
    - No need for instructions it is very easy to use; mode selection button (0 and 2 sec delay) is marked as well as the battery drawer opening method.
    Useful in some situations
Beware of fluorescent lights (I had an embarrassing moment before a group of people when it did not work)
  • Better Than Canon TC-80N3

This timer Remote is better than Canon TC-80N3, I would know, I own one.Vantages over Canon TC-80N3:- On/Off switch- Much better back light- Uses AAA batteries. Which are much easier to find, cheaper, and also allows rechargeable option.- Gives both audible and visual conformation of exposure sequence. (and audible part can be turned off!)- Allows total number of exposures to be 399, not 99. And it shows the remaining exposures remaining in the sequence (huge plus!).- connection cord is about 4" longer. (not huge I know, but its a plus!)- Gives you the duration of the exposure when using the simple shutter button. (this does not mean the shutter button only works with power, it still works if batteries are dead.)
Definitely seems that there was some thought put into this timer, not just a clone of the Canon TC-80N3. And I think both the quality and the price are excellent.
If you have an doubts about buying this over the Canon TC-80N3, you can rest assured that this will work, and work better than the Canon TC-80N3.
  • Simple but working great!

Tested on a Canon 7D, it's working as expected. Holding option, half-pressed option (for focus etc) Remote control
Don't forget to switch the auto-holding button of. Or it looks as though your camera doesn't react to anything you do! :)I had one for an older camera 350D from Canon but that one does not fit a Canon 7D
If you are not using these devices much then you are making a good choise using this one for a very affordable price.
  • Working as expected

This product is just working as I expected and easy to install. Like the test bottom on the top so you can use it as a remote trigger while using for example a light meter.
Make a label thats easy to see for the On/Off bottom.
Great product and I just ordered my second set and hope I will be able to handle 4 triggers with one receiver.
