  • Very nice quality flash.

    - Very nice build quality.
    - Quite simple to use.
    - Long enough cord which helps to move the flash to different sites for side light.
    - 2-3 s to load.
    - Easy to adjust amount of flashlight.
    - Easy to adjust the side and amount of flashlight to each side.
I use it on a Canon 350D. My main of use is documentation of skin lesions and face treatment.
It works nicely by manual adjusting the flash strength or the exposure on the camera, but no automatic flash control. Which means you have to have a good feeling for exposure or just try and check the pictures. I do the last and works fine for me.
  • Affordable Extension Tubes for MD Lenses

    posted by asdfrawr

The price is very good; you'll have a hard time finding a better price for one of this build quality. The spacings between the 1, 2, and 3 extension sizes are just right, and you can make any combination of the three to adjust your focal plane accordingly. The unit mounts to the camera securely and does not wobble, and the lens mount to the tube tightly as well. The material the tubes are made of is strong and rigid.
It's a really good extension set for MD mount lens. Will take your common 50mm lens (or others) and provide some great macro shots. Just remember that when using extension tubes, you'll lose the lens' ability to focus to infinity.
Great deal for the price; does what it says on the tin.
  • Nice set of Cokin-type filter system

    posted by tazeux

3 gradual and 3 regular ND filters (seems like ND2, ND4, ND8) are very well finished. No scratches or damage since they are all shipped in protective plastic. The filter/lens hood is very solid and tough. And you can put even 20 of them together if you have more... The filter holder is nicely made too, you can put 3 filters together. Basically it is the same system as COKIN but a lot cheaper. The adapter ring is made of aluminium, black coated, nice and solid. Threads are fine, no burrs.
I suggest cleaning the pouch (insides) before putting bare filters in. Also the stitches are not top quality but they seem to hold ok so far.

  • Nice cheap tubes for macro work

    posted by eccs19

Cheap extension tubes for playing around with macro work. No glass to distort your image quality. Worked with my M42 to K mount adapter. I've seen others from China that were cheap looking. These ones seems to appear a little better built.
Others commented about tubes not mounting properly. I had no issues on camera or lens side. Worked as it should. (Pentax *ist D)
For the money, and free shipping, you can't go wrong.
  • For closer-up shots

The tubes are made of metal, so you don't have to worry about breaking them. Fitting the tubes is easy enough, so it can be done quite quickly.
Can't think of anything else right now. The tubes do what they're supposed to; they have no effect on the image quality other than magnification (no glass).
If you want to get closer to your subject or even do real macro stuff; this is one way to do it. You can get extension tubes with electrical contacts to have control over aperture and auto-focus, but they'll cost you a lot more. If you're just playing around with macro or starting out, this is a good investment.
