Places the flash above the lens/camera in portrait orentiation.(usefulness: no ugly shadows to the side)Increases distance between flash and lens/sensor.(usefulness: reduces chance of redeye)
Good quality, soft handle. The flash never moves, you can re-orient the camera with the same flick of the wrist that does the job when handheld. This model is a best for me from all on this site.
    Useful product for professionals

SturdyGood ConstructionScrew fits perfectly into standard camera
Think it can be cheaper, but it's hard to find stuff like this. This is really a 360º mount, you can put the base atop of something else, a stone, a table, or something and screw it very hard. It wont move. When you loosen the lateral screws, it moves very gently, but you can screw it back to fix in position... like... forever.
Good item.If you need a sturdy mount to resist a lot of weight and force, this might be a good choice

    - Small size- Light weight material- Easy mounting- Extremely low cost holder- Applicable to various items, not just cameras- Strength- Smart design for fastening
I have purchased 2 variants of these holders, the black and aluminium color. After over six months they still serve me well. I have not used them for camera, but for directional sound system. Works great. The smart design allows me to point the speaker into exact direction.
A product worth buying. Decent price for decent quality of the holders. Strength and durability does not seem to be an issue with this product. I would recommend you to but it.
  • Professional flash bracket

It is a very solid bracket. Truly professional. Can be folded by unlocking the joints. These are solid as well.At the top is a flash hotshoe, which can be screwed off. This is very handy, as one would need to use a flash cable. The end of the cable (which is also a hotshoe) can simply be screwed on.
Now I need to find the occasion to use the flash on this bracket. I am not really a professional who needs to flash on a daily basis.
It is definitely a good investment.

I picked up a Minolta 4000AF Flash bundled with some lenses that I bought for my Sony A350. Because it’s an older style flash unit the connector doesn’t fit the shoe (physically and electronically) on my camera and I need to use the adapter cable that fits on the shoe instead. That would leave me holding the camera in one hand and the flash gun in the other. This gets pretty heavy quite quickly and is a rather poor way to attempt half decent flash photography. This bracket is exactly what I needed to overcome this and get back some control. It is of solid contruction yet it’s relatively light. All the screws and connectors etc. fit snug and well giving a very secure mounting. The handle is nice and sturdy now allowing me to hold the camera steady and adjust all controls with relative ease. The colour is a nice neutral black to blend in with the rest of the kit. It gives it that semi professional look as well which is kind of cool or kind of nerdy depending on if you like that sort of thing.
I’m not so sure about the claim of red-eye reduction just by mounting the flash at a slightly different distance from the camera sensor. This seems a bit far-fetched to me. I would suggest there are far superior photographical techniques, and even post processing technologies available to prevent red-eye.
Sturdy bracket, functions as it should, good value for money.
