  • Excellent BEC

    Solid build.
    I've used this setup:
Mystery 7.4V 900mAh 15C Lithium Polymer Rechargeable Battery for R/C Helicopters
    (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7621)
Mystery Brushless Electric Motor for R/C Models (11.1V 16000rpm)(http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12830) - This is a crap motor!
Have some problems with this setup, the ESC cuts off power suddenly, but I suspect the the motor is a bit dodgy.
The ESC is excellent, but buy a good quality motor, then you will enjoy this ESC a lot.

This looks like a high quality ESC with a good sized heat sink. The inbuild BEC is very good. I have run this ESC at 50 amps and it holds up extreemly well. At 60 amps it will need sufficient cooling otherwise it is getting too hot for my liking. Of all the 'Cheepo" ESC this is by far the best I have seen. A real bargain for the quality provided!
I hate that I have to write 1000 characters when everything that needed to be said has been said.
I will buy more of these!
  • Very good ESC

I'm using it on my quadcopter and it's really great product for this price. It's very easy to use, I managed to get it working in about 5 minutes - you just connect microcontroller, brushless motor and power supply to it and it's ready to work.
I'm using it with Arduino - with Servo library. You need to set it to about 1150 us with writeMicroseconds function for few seconds so that it get start-up signal. After that you can control the speed from 1150 to about 1800 us.
I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to use brushless motors - I have no problem running it for a long time with 1500KV 20A motor.

    - Raises 1:18 RC to whole new level, at least A-Tech 1:18 Buggy 4WD.
    - For another project car needed to adjust 55% power usage from controller as too much speed.
    - Good torque both on- & off-road.
    - Many mounting threads for universal fit.
    - 3mm axle root (bearing from my Skyartec heli fits perfectly).
    - Long axle for pinion fitting.
Easy to program, the programming device has all needed written on it. Smaller motor than 370N (A-Tech stock), but fitted to mounting plates holes.
Didn't bother to run out full battery with A-Tech 1:18 Buggy 4WD RTR stock setup. With this set the buggy runs really nice. I've only run with 7.4V 2s 900MAh Li-PO, which last quite some time, so full potential isn't yet revealed.
    Excellent purchase.

Cheap and small ESC works like it's supposed to. Detected up to 4 cell Li-Po even it says 2-3 Li-Po. BEC (Battery Eliminator circuit) outputs handy 5v for receiver and servos.
30A variation of same ESC is only +2$ more. It would be probably better and more robust but this seems be all right too..for extra robustness and price when it's a available.
Seems be all good ESC. Nothing bad to say except be prepared for wrong manuals.
