  • LEPU Refill Black Toner

I've bought this toner more than 1 year ago, and after all this time i think my opinion is quite complete...Good amount of toner, one bottle can be used (on my samsung ml 1640) for 3 charges at 1500 pages to a single charge, so sure is the cheapest toner i can find if compared to prices in my country.Bottle is really nice, better tha other kind of bottles of toner i have used before, and it keeps toner dry.The quality is nice, works properly and it's easy to keep the cartridge clean after the refill operations (just clean the drum with a microfibre clothe and a brush for the gear).
Just buy it, it's perfect and cheap and do the job. One tip is that is necessary to use a funnel to refill the cartridge, but if you are used to refill your laser printer by yourself sure you know what to do :)

Very chap toner. If you loook to prices of original branded toners from HP, they are much much much higher.Big package...always seen only 100g packages/bottles and not these 500g.This toner is magnetic. (look at my video). I couldn't make a ferrofluid from it but maybe someone will be successful - maybe with another oil or some other chemicals? Anyway, if you need magnetic powder for something, you can use this. Great for demonstration magnetic lines of force...
I don't actually have HP 5100 or other compatibile printer...but I tested it with my HP 1600 Color laser Jet in black cartridge....well the edges are not so sharp and you can see little grey on the whole paper but it can be usable. For example if you have this printer and you need to print many, many, many black pages with text, you can use it.
  • Works great for Brother Printer HL-5170DN

I've now used 2 bottles of this toner over the course of a year and have not had any problems at all. I use a Brother HL-5170DN and the most difficult problem has been using a needle-nose pliers to pull off the clear plastic cap on the toner cartridge. To prevent possible over filling (Which can cause the grey printing problem, because not enough toner can be moved to the roller if it's jammed full) I put about half a bottle in per refill. Which usually gets me about 3000 double-sided prints. Nor have I had a problem with B&W photos printing badly.
If you don't have a spare funnel to get the toner in the cartridge roll up a piece of paper into a funnel shape that can fit in the refill hole and slowly poor it in. Preferably outside in case the toner spills a little, and whatever you do always clean with a dry or cold wet cloth. Hot water can bond the toner to a surface.
I've also used the same brand's Kyocera toner for my Kyocera 1700 printer with good results. Not sure why the Samsung printers are having so much trouble.
It's worked great and without problem, but it's a little messy so pour it in outside your house or atleast spread out some newspaper around the work area when you try to refill.
