  • Good glasses for the price

I'd been looking for a good set of geek glasses for reading with; I need magnification between 1.5x & 2x these days 8{ and these fitted the bill perfectly. Being a child of the '80s, the fact they make me look like Michael Douglas in 'Falling Down' was a bonus! They come in a hard case, with a decent-sized cleaning cloth, and appear to be quite well made; The frame is reasonably heavy and the lenses are surprisingly bloomed to reduce reflection when reading. This works quite well.
I've got a medium sized head and they're not tight, but snug. I could imagine them not fitting if your head was on the larger side. They're perfect for me though and comfy. My other glasses are quite square and have flat lenses. The lenses on these are a little curved at the bottom, which distorts a little and makes it difficult to walk with these on - however, the focal length makes it hard to see distance anyway as these are really for close-up reading anyway, so it's not a problem.
Good glasses at a decent price. I think they're very stylish and glasses of this style are quite hard to come by at other places, so I'm really happy with my purchase.
  • Useful, but bound to strenght!

Lights up nearby objects. Great for reading. Can be used for lighting up objects in your nearby path, when walking in complete darkness. Has 1 LED on each side (can be turned on/off individually). Appears somewhat flimsy, but is actually sturdy enough. Comes in a protective case!
In my opinion, the strenght should've been mentioned precisely. Reading with +3, when (for example) needing +1, goes just fine. But do not try to move around too much with them. The distortion will cause you some side affects that resemble those of slight intoxication ;)
Hmm. Not 100% if it is worth the asking price, but it is a practical little gadget. I initially bought it for my partner, so she can read while we are on the road. Now that I made you aware of the +3 strenght, you yourself should be able to judge best whether or not this is something you'd want to buy. That aside: For reading in the dark, I'd surely recommend these glasses.
