  • Great little shortwave radio!

    posted by VirgaA

A great radio for those who are starting in the reception of shortwave. Comes with a long wire antenna with ring, especially made to enhance signal reception. This antenna can be replaced by another one, with connector TRS like (P2). The battery lasts enough too, and you can charge it in your computer via USB.
The buttons are a little delicate, so use it gently. The light when charging ends don't change. If you read the manual, it says that's not safe charge for more than 12 hours continuosly, so use it carefully :)
I order two more of this radios to my family. I think this little radio is a great companion for listen music during work, study or just to listen to shortwaves! It's an alternative to the hightech devices that draw your attention to the simple and cool things.
  • Good buy. I'm happy

Small and light. Enter one hand. With 14500 battery gives lots of light.Externally similar to the Sipik SK68. The button works perfect
It can stand both for the focus, for the button, and use it to provide ambient light. The Zoom works well. I try it in the woods to check the distance you can
Meets the needs. Good looking. Practice and light
  • Excellent for the price

This light is surprisingly bright considering it only requires a single AA. It also seems to put out the advertised wavelength of 395-410nm. This means that there is also a considerable amount of visible violet light in the output. However, shining the light on a fluorescent material reveals that a large proportion of the output is still in the UV range. The smooth reflector throws the beam reasonably well, and the beam does not have visible rings at anything other than extremely close range.I don't have one to compare with at the moment, but the light output seems considerably better than the cheap 9-LED UV lights also sold here. The build quality is far better than those lights at any rate, with this light having the added benefit of a proper drive circuit. The light also seems reliable so far. I have not noticed any flickering or connection issues.
I have not tested this light with 14500 cells, but I did test with two AAs in series to get 3V. The light worked fine and it continues to work on a single AA.I also disassembled the light to get a better look at the guts. The circuit board the LED is mounted to says 'CREE', with the LED itself looking similar to an XP-E. However, I have no confidence that the LED is actually made by CREE. At any rate, it does a fine job.Due to the visible purple component of the output, blue-blocking glasses are a wise investment. They will both protect your eyes from the UV, and help reveal subtle fluorescence. Also to keep in mind is the fact that this light might be too bright for very up-close work. If that is your intended use, a lower-powered light with a single 5mm LED may be more appropriate.
If you are trying to fluoresce things within the advertised wavelength of this flashlight, then it is an excellent buy. Cheap, reasonable quality, no crappy battery holders and plenty of output. If nothing else, it's a good bit of fun and far better than anything else in its price range.Highly recommended, it is among the best value UV lights on DX at the moment.

Price is good. Not deaf, SW bands sensitivity is acceptable, numerous signals found on each SW band - given the type of radio it is. Good band-spread due to relatively narrow tuning bands. Seems to be reasonable quality, given what it is.
Earphone socket is conveniently compatible with common stereo earphones (earbuds) or headphones. Be aware that FM band is mono, *not* stereo. It's just that you don't require mono earphones.
It's an acceptable Little Cheap Radio. Keep in mind the type of radio it is. No glaring comedy-radio flaws as with other products (like backwards tuning dial).I can't give it five stars because of the class of radio it is. But it's fine. Just don't expect it to compete with a more expensive class of radio. It's nice that DX is selling shortwave radios. Hopefully they can bring in the higher end models for a good price.

Cheap and great mouse. Awesome click buttons and design. Receiver is really strong. I recommend to all my friends and I will buy again if I need to.2 months with battery :)
This mouse is really strong and precise. If you want a wireless mouse with great design, good price and easy install (well, no install), buy it!
I bought it for my father and he's using about 1 month and no problems yet. Sometimes the receiver stop working and he needs to unplug and plug again (using front-USB 1.0 port).
