good quality product, great luminosity (please take care, do not see LED directly), easy to use, it is applicable for any Arduino LED project, it comes with a standard packing.
Recommended for high luminosity LED projects (I did a Christmas light for home), also to test any Arduino library works fine!
Use it! it is fun and really easy to use!
  • Bright RGB LED for Arduino projects

    - very bright light (almost too bright as it is hard to look at it directly) - works with Arduino (example on how to test it: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ColorCrossfader) - nice and compact PCB with SMD LED - good build quality
This is not going in some project, I just like playing with this colorful thing and that the entire reason I bought it. :-)
If the price is good for you buy it.

Nice assembly. Comes with 150ohms resistor integrated. you can just take is a plug in to you breadboard and start testing.Light is diffused, very good to do a mood ball.
Very nice part to start a small arduino project. Also check SKU: 135046 if you want another choice for a RGB LED.
It is a very nice starter piece to learn how to use RGB LEDs

Bright RGB LEDsSimple hookupUser can control two pairs of LEDsFor Arduino use ShiftPWM library
I was able to make this module work with Arduino using the ShiftPWM library from Elco Jacobs at http://www.elcojacobs.com/using-shiftpwm-to-control-rgb-leds-with-arduino/ . I only had one but I assume that the library will support daisy-chained modules. You will also need a robust 5v power supply, since the Arduino digital outputs don't have the required current to drive the module.
If you don't mind experimenting a little, I think that this module is good value for the money.
  • Great cheap display

Inexpensive 8 segment LED display based on the MAX7219 chipsetRed LEDsCan be connected in sequence for multiple displays
It would be nice if it said somewhere in the description what color the LEDs are. There is a section for color and it is specified as being green, clearly they are just referring to the circuit board and not the LEDs themselves
Great little displays, I am using 3 of them in a project of mine right now! If you are trying to buy the MAX7219 on its own you generally can't get it as cheap as this complete board.
