  • Nice 4 digit display.

Only takes 2 wires to use. Mine was a Catalex as shown. Had seen some complaints about these devices from various sources, but no problems with this one.Used: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_4-Digit_Display for trial sketchs and nice timer routine too.
Surprised how accurate a clock you get with just the UNO crystal and no correction. Wanted to do something each day at a time +/- a couple of min.If I have to adjust the "clock" once a week, no big deal.
Ordered a couple more! Will try w ATTiny.
  • Excellent unit, good build, good price.

Excellent unit, good build, good price.Compact, easy to connect, works as described. You can easily fit it in the breadboard, together with Arduino board of any other module.
The LED case is crystal clear, so on a final application you will need a diffusor in front of it. But this is a common feature for these devices. A piece of bond paper will do the job.
Get a few if you do prototyping, the price is excellent, and the manufacturing professional.

Bright RGB LEDsSimple hookupUser can control two pairs of LEDsFor Arduino use ShiftPWM library
I was able to make this module work with Arduino using the ShiftPWM library from Elco Jacobs at http://www.elcojacobs.com/using-shiftpwm-to-control-rgb-leds-with-arduino/ . I only had one but I assume that the library will support daisy-chained modules. You will also need a robust 5v power supply, since the Arduino digital outputs don't have the required current to drive the module.
If you don't mind experimenting a little, I think that this module is good value for the money.
  • Excellent kit for enter in Arduino world

Very good and simple kit. Everything for assembling are supplied in kit. Very easy to put together and worked first time connected to Arduino.
In specification.. please remove colour of PCB. This data just confuse.
    Very good product!
  • Very bright quality RGB LED light

    - Nice and compact.- Nice build quality.- Very bright.- Easy to connect and to work with.- Works nicely with PWM control.
There are no resistors mounted on the board. They are not needed of you are working with microprocessors like the Arduino. They work directly on the PWM output pins of the Arduino (3,3V). At 3,3V the LEDs are very bright, and get warm, but extremes are not exceeded.
For testing this module with an Arduino, follow this tutorial here: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ColorCrossfader
