  • Good kit !

Its a very good kit to learn how to use a LED dot matrix display. Easy to sold, thanks to the users pictures. Also easy to use with the Arduino card. A lot of example programs are on the web, and its easy to create your own. The matrix and the MAX chip are on sockets, so you can't burn them during the soldering !
Buy this kit if you want to discover the matrix leds technology and if you are a DIY fan !

Easy to use Liquid crystal display and well documented on the Arduino.cc web page.
Works without having to download any libraries for the Arduino development environment. Here is a link on how to use this display with Arduino: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal
A cheap way to allow your Arduino projects to communicate messages to the user without having to be connected to a computer.
  • Nice Input/Output board

Board is quality builded. All components are soldered tight and PCB is very strong.
    Package comes with mounting screws.
TM1638 chip requires only 3 pins from micro-controller to be driven.
    Works great.
Using it with Arduino Uno. With TM1638 library it is very simple to program all functions.
Good thing is what it could be joined in sequence of 6, so in future you could expand display in your needs.
Great board for experiments and final DIY project.
  • Nice 4 digit display.

Only takes 2 wires to use. Mine was a Catalex as shown. Had seen some complaints about these devices from various sources, but no problems with this one.Used: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_4-Digit_Display for trial sketchs and nice timer routine too.
Surprised how accurate a clock you get with just the UNO crystal and no correction. Wanted to do something each day at a time +/- a couple of min.If I have to adjust the "clock" once a week, no big deal.
Ordered a couple more! Will try w ATTiny.
  • Good display for good price

It's compact and quite cheap. The build is quite sturdy and it is looking very good while in use.Since it has to be used as a dynamic indication, you would need only one 7-Segment LED driver.
It is not specified in the description - the model is a common anode - 'GNQ-5641Bx'
It's a good product and it's cheap. If you know how to use it - buy it and make some nice project with it.
