    After finding the right code piece of cake to use
    use this code:#include <LiquidCrystal_I2C.h>#define I2C_ADDR 0x27 // Define I2C Address #define BACKLIGHT_PIN 3#define En_pin 2#define Rw_pin 1#define Rs_pin 0#define D4_pin 4#define D5_pin 5#define D6_pin 6#define D7_pin 7int n = 1;LiquidCrystal_I2C lcd(I2C_ADDR,En_pin,Rw_pin,Rs_pin,D4_pin,D5_pin,D6_pin,D7_pin);
    Top to get the information out of your arduino. I won't use it for in sight application.
  • Cheap and Easy to use.

    Easy to use Liquid crystal display and well documented on the Arduino.cc web page.
    Works without having to download any libraries for the Arduino development environment. Here is a link on how to use this display with Arduino: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal
    A cheap way to allow your Arduino projects to communicate messages to the user without having to be connected to a computer.
  • 8 7-segment display

    Very easy to use 7 segment display. Had to figure out the connections and how to drive ( common anode or cathode ) this 7 segment display. Within 5 minutes I had it working.You can drive the display with the spi interface of the arduino. The first byte you can select the digit ( or digits ). A '1' selects the digit. LSB is the left digit and the MSB is the right digit.The second byte represents the LEDs of the digit. LSB is 'A' and the MSB is the 'Digital Point'. But this byte has to be inverted.Thats it!// take the SS pin low to select the chip:digitalWrite(slaveSelectPin,LOW);// send in the digit and value via SPI:SPI.transfer(digit);SPI.transfer(~value);// take the SS pin high to de-select the chip:digitalWrite(slaveSelectPin,HIGH);
    Include a small note on how to drive this display can help people a lot. But that is what I put in all my reviews... I am a bit irritated that I have to figure out the connections or driving schedule all the time.
    Great display for driving all kind of things...In my case a simple clock display ;)

    Very cheap 8x 7segment LED display (best price i could find on net). Possible to connect in chain! Very easy to use, interfacable with Arduino. Just plug and play. Comes in ESD bags.
    Cheap!!! Good quality manufactured. Good to play and learn.Would be nice to have it in other forms, colours and sizes.
    Very good for its price!
  • Good kit !

    posted by Yoruk1672

    Its a very good kit to learn how to use a LED dot matrix display. Easy to sold, thanks to the users pictures. Also easy to use with the Arduino card. A lot of example programs are on the web, and its easy to create your own. The matrix and the MAX chip are on sockets, so you can't burn them during the soldering !
    Buy this kit if you want to discover the matrix leds technology and if you are a DIY fan !
