  • It does the job

    posted by Nemerix2

It works fine with both native IDE port and IDE to USB bridge. Speed seems to be OK.
It can't really be made much smaller so it will fit almost anywhere. As it is very small and light it is mechanically quite robust when fitted to a hard drive.
It could be usefull to have a possibility to fit an external power source if the IDE connector doesn't do the job.
The attached drive seems to be able to boot through this however the system I had connected it to did't start up all the way. It ended up with a windows mups.sys hang on Windows XP but I have no clue if this board is to blame.
If you need such a device you can try this one as it seems to work fine.
  • Excellent quality cords

Good qualityIt has a good looking into my gamer cabinet with blue leds (bought it for that porpuse)The hook at the SATA cable that fits on the Mother Board works pretty good. You can not confuse the way the cords plug into the devices. It just goes in one way.
It works for me like a charm.
Good material. It is easy to plug and avoids pluggin to many times cords into devices on the computer. In one try you plugged two cords, Awesome!
  • Looks good but tight connection

Pinouts for power and data are great, especially if you're using these for a DIY/retrofit hotswap enclosure. Got a Sun StoreEdge A1000 and I'm using these to replace the SCSI backplane with a DIY SATA one.
If you're wondering what those empty pins are on the other side they are also for data + power LEDs but you can use it to solder them instead.
Good price and no major problems, you will need to work the connection a few times for a slightly looser fit though.
  • cheap, easy to use, fast but with little power

Cheap, easy to use, rugged and flexible cord, seems to be durable. Good material and seems to be made with good quality materials. Fast and very compatible with windows 7 ans Linux!. I am willing to buy a couple more.Great design.
Well constructed, other available colors would be desirable.
more powerful device would be very desirable too or with optional power adapter.
  • excellent

how nice is to be first and comment on a fantastic product ideal for anyone who gun pc, technicians and so on. this product to be integrated whole is fantastic because it prevents having many wires inside. ideal for those of us like to build pc and see everything very simple and not going crazy looking for where is this cable.
the product itself is expensive to me as a cable and a molex sata worth much cheaper than this. but good is an ideal product for techniques worth paying a little more for this product as well Simplify the order on a pc
as I said above is an ideal product for pc technicians like myself, to my taste are a bit expensive but are very useful and if you buy them wholesale and dx can be performed on this product was worth the same as a mole and a separate sata. I had been purchased 6 and are very good besides the presentation of the product are excellent. I'm asking for 30 more.
