  • Very small R5 units, very bright.

These very small emitters can be mount on an E10 bulbmount, wich is in use for bike headlights and many older flashlights. Can also be mounted on a maglightbulb (the metal part).Take care of cooling and current (1500mA max) and you will have an extreme improvement in your lightoutput.
Can be placed in flashlights wit the older R2 and other leds wich have a less efficiency. The extreme small lightemittig part makes them also suitable to build a recoil flashlight wich can be constructed with a divergence wich produce a beam almost like a white laser (wich I have)
Very nice LED to use for almost anything. When you use 3.0 Volt , the led does not need further cooling bus is already very bright. This small brother (or sister) of the T6 is able to produce very small beams.Pushed to the max it will be able to deliver almost 500lumen but with lower current het efficiency is better. This is a common fact, powerfull emitters have often a higher efficiency with lower current .
  • Too Expensive but It Worths!

Gives a VERY VERY BRIGHT and DIRECT light beam which improves the illumination behind your car greatly if you install these items to your rear light.
Those LEDs on side are intended to light up the lamp cell in which this item is installed. In other words, they improve only the view of your car from the backside but don't make it shine brighter.I'd pay even double price if the manufacturer made the same item but of 3 Cree LEDs. Even without those side LEDs.Another idea for manufacturer: please make an 1157 socket lamp with YELLOW SIDE LEDS and white center Cree LED. This would make much use for DIY geeks who re-design their tail lights and combine both blinker and rear light in one section.
Take them if you need a bright rear light and don't want to freak out with installing HID.Can't say these are 100% cost-worthy, but they really deserve attention to be paid at!
  • Little torches

Bright. The brightest I have found so far (02/11/12). I have these in my motorcycle and the t10 points forward so I get two torches illuminating my path. This really is great as "normal" t10 bulbs just give a glow.
If your t10's don't point forward or there is not much room then these may well be of no use. Also 5W is the standard for T10 bulbs so the amount of heat produced from these should be equal if not less.
They cost a lot of money and to get the best of them they need to be pointing forward. Also I have had these for only a week so still have durability concerns . But so far I am over the moon with them and
  • Good but not great

    posted by Erelyes

Looks like a quality product. Fits as it should. Colour is just perfect. Heatsink.
The lens helps reduce some of the directional nature of LED's. However it still doesn't light up the entire brake light housing.
Good replacement IF you are after lower power consumption, or the bulb is just straight a pain to replace. If it's critical that the bulb looks stock through then lens there might be other better options like WL20130104266 or WL20130219.
