Exactly as described, just dropped in, runs an x-re r2 perfectly well, long run times.I am a novice when it comes to electronics, but found it easy to use. I have some other cheap torches that i am thinking of upgrading with this cree board.
At the price you cannot go wrong. I used it to replace the board in my olight i25 as the original fried!! It was slightly smaller than the original but with a slight mod works well.
Buy it! Worth a go at the price, nothing to loose!!

Nice and tight battery holder. Pretty strong LED. The possibility to focus light stream or diffuse is a great advantage. The holder got great shape for hanging. Transform to a lamp for great light spread is a great idea. I've been awarded many awe looks after I used it. Looks lie water resistant, because of all the rubber protection of all threadings.
Improvement can be made by replacing hanging ring for something which could hang itself (hook, snap-hook, ...). I've put one snap hook on the ring and now it's "unstoppable"
Except for the breaking apart problem this is awesome gadget.
  • No problem - Do what it has to do

Standard talkie walkie with the main functions expected on this type of device
When you try to program it for information i didn't succed with windows 7 and an usb cable, I was succeeded with a serial cable and windows XP only so...
Good product for the price if you succeed to change the frequencies which is not so easy for a newbie !
  • Great looking light

The nice gunmetal grey finish looks awesome and the logos aren't too big or tacky.O-rings were adequate and the screw threads have a nice feel to them. A fairly solid feeling flashlightPretty good light output (to me anyway. a novice)
Inner barrel diamater of the 2xAA tube was slightly narrower than I would've liked. I had a set of "Ritmo" Power Expert 2700mah AA's that were just too fat to fit inside the tube. Luckily I had another set of 2200mah that could fit snugly. I've seen pictures of Energizer Nimh AA's work fine in this light though.
A very good looking and solid feeling light that could be perfect with a little tweaking.

I fixed a no name creee torch wit this driver,
    5 Levels high,med,low,strobe,sos ??
my one drains about 1000mA/4.0 Volt on cell
(really!,checked with new Fluke DMM)350 mA in med, about 50 mA in low mode,as bright as the former 5 W(?) driver.
I use it with unprotected 18650 cell.
    Will order some more,!!
small size,(one board only,Driver with 2 Boards would´nt fix in my torch)
Buy it,if you have to fix a flashlight, cheap driver, hope it will last longer than the Original.
