  • Perfect for your 14500 flashlights!

Use your 14500 compatible flashlight to their full power potential. You can even use them in single cell Fenix Flashlights (LD10 etc.) although the first two levels give out same amount of light and difference from level 2 to 3 is small when fresh charged. Turbo on the other hand is as bright as the two cell AA version. Of course this is only possible on those using the same head (Like LD10 and LD20)
I've had other LiFePO4 cells from DX regularly drain as low as almost 0 volts and still have them charge without noticeable degration (I didn't say without - only unnoticeable) in a high quality German Kit LiFePO4 charger. Yes safety wise it is perfectly safe to recharge LiFePO4 even gone that low. You need a good charger however not to ruin capacity totally. Hopefully these will be just as good because without protection circuit I'm sure that is bound to happen at sometime. But again - safety wise no concern.
If you want to use your 14500 compatible at it's full potential but are worried about safety of normal LiIon then these are perfect!

I have had 4 Lithium chargers and 9 NiMH battery charges and this is the best. It charges two batteries independently and to different voltages. This allows me to use batteries of different chemistry and it also has different charge rates. I generally slow charge my cells to keep the temperature down and the overall life of the cell high but I love the thought of moving up to the higher charge level if I needed to top of a cell in a hurry. There are times when I discover that my wife put away discharged 18650 cells and we are going on a long night bike ride and we need every cell we have. Its then I move the switch to the higher charge level. The contacts seem to be gold plated for good corrosion resistance. The charge lights blink red then go green when each cell is done.
If you use Lithium iron phosphate cells this is the charger for you. If you may use those cells one day, get this charger. You may think you will never buy them you could be wrong. The solar flood light sold for outdoor use already use them
I'm glad I got mine and am working it pretty hard with no issues.
